Basically, whenever the game has to "Communicate" with anything (Connecting to EA Servers, Checking DLC, doesn't seem to matter), the game just freezes for about 10 seconds. Makes trying to navigate menus REALLY frustrating, especially in multiplayer if I accidenally click "store" when I didn't mean to.

I've already tried the following:
- Checked Windows Firewall to be sure it was allowing ME3 access. It is.
- Set up port forwarding on my router.
- Tried disabling AVG, no luck
- Checked for the latest video card drivers
- All the obvious stuff (anything like close and restart Origin, restart computer, etc)
- Disabled Origin In-game Interface

I'm pretty sure this is interfering with my ability to play Multiplayer games as well. I can't seem to find any games. Ever.

Computer Stats:
Proc: Itel Core i7-2600
RAM: 8GB 1333mhz (don't remember brand. Patriot I think)
HDD: OCZ Vertex3 120GB SSD
GFX: nVidia GeForce GTX 555 (Dell OEM)
OS: Windows 7 Professional N

Everything is up to date.

Any help or insight would be appreciated.

Thanks!

EDIT: Fixed weird line returns.

I get the hanging too.

99% of the time its fine...booted out the other 1%

wouldn't worry about your computer specs it's def all software (ME3&Origin)

as far as finding games goes - make sure you have downloaded all the free MP dlc's as you need them to play with most other people (sorry if thats stating the obv).

This is pretty normal nowadays because of how bloated this game is and how bad the servers are.

This is normal...it can't do anything till the servers or other side responds. 10 seconds is nothing...it is a network application and part of it resides on another computer somewhere else in the world. What they SHOULD have done is put a cancel button on it since you can often tell it is taking too long and won't work, so it'd be possible to back out. I even had a poll on this:

Do you honestly expect them to add this? They can't even fix their ****ty network. This game has been in a broken state since the Earth DLC has come out.

It would be nice if they would fix the "communicating" times. I hate having to wait for the game to unfreeze before playing single player.

I now even take forever just to exit a frickin lobby. This wasn't a problem until the most recent DLC releases. What pisses me off is that the multiplayer is really fun but BioWare aren't doing a ****ing thing to improve it nor are they willing to listen to constructive criticism. It's really ****ing pathetic. I blame the management.

And it will continue to be ignored like every other issue this game has. Moral of the story? Don't buy any EA games in the future. The award from The Consumerist couldn't have gone to a more deserving company.

I had this problem a few weaks back where it would hang for about 20 secs or so, then resume, on connecting to ea servers and joining MP games.

Ever since the latest patch it just hangs on joining servers then gives me the servers are unavailable, and the "unable to authorize the DLC blah blah"
so I can't even load any of the single player games I have atm

bloody frustrating

I just got the game. Not only do I have these long "communicating" stalls, but i have similar problem when I try to play MP. The game just hangs at "searching." Related?

It is. It's quite an old issue too. I end up having to end the process in the task manager.

They couldn't even add a "cancel search" button. There's plenty of people playing the PC version but it's being neglected by EA as usual.

There are lots of threads with this issue, and I too had the same problem. I found a fix and would like to post in all of the related threads, but for now hopefully people will see this one. This should make your multi-player playable. Go to extras in the main menu, go to online, then turn the feedback OFF. After NINE months, and countless interactions with EA I figured this out myself. EA insisted it was an issue on my end, and had me try numerous things like setting ports, reinstalling the game, etc. all to no avail. I'm proud to have finally figured it out myself, but disappointed that I missed out on all of the packs and weekends and things because no one at bioware or EA knew that the feedback was causing a problem.

Wow, so it isn't just that I upgraded my PC. This has been happening for a while now, and it's currently at the point that I can't even search for a multiplayer game.

Nope. That's not it. If that was the reason behind it then why didn't i have these issues with it before then?
Anyway. I've turned it off and it made no difference.

This cluster**** of connection and loading issues was introduced with the Earth DLC.
