I have tried to skip dialogue using the "Esc" key does nothing.

I have remapped the key to other keys still nothing. But functions to bring up the menu work.

Also when in the remap screen and try to click set "Main Menu" as "Esc" does nothing. Only hitting restore to defaults does ESC come up.

Any Ideas, cuz not being able to skip dialogue is killing this game for me.

The ESC key will only skip a single line of a dialog at a time (baring cut scenes, it will skip the whole scene) And not all dialog is skippable. Any line which is followed by a response from you is not skippable, but you can short circuit it by selecting a response once the responses come up.

I understand but I mean I can't "short circuit" it it's like the Esc key is disabled.



I go to "Settings" > "Controls" > "Main Menu" and try to change the key bind from "Esc" to > "~" and then back to "Esc" pressing "Esc" does nothing.

Have you tried manually editing your keybindings.ini file? You want to search for togglemainmenu and set it to: ToggleMainMenu_0=Keyboard::Button_Escape



Make sure to back up before editing, and then try to reload. See if this helps

Ha! I found out.



Jamal, cheers, I had *exactly* the same problem and I found out the problem was caused by leaving the _trainer_'s .nfo file open. Ridiculous, I know.
