Shepard lived even bioware said they added the breath scene to give players hope during one of the american events
Bull if they wanted alot more players to believe shepard was alive we would've seen his or her face when he or she supposedly took this breath to show that he or she is alive since we don't see them it could be just another n7 down there that doesn't help anything
Time To Wake Up Destroy Fans Shepard Really Did Die Unless Bioware Shows Otherwise

They retconned the citadel damage like they did so many other things, but it doesn't look all that unlikely for Shepard to survive now, she survives a reaper blast afterall lol.

Not that I'm defending the quality of the ridiculous five second breath teaser in a high EMS destroy, but it still happens. Stop pretending there's nothing existing ingame to suggest Shepard lives.
^This. I don't see how the breath scene means that Shepard is dead, when it doesn't show that in any other endings.

And yet you cant prove it.
So you're saying that the breath scene is NOT proof that Shepard is alive, but his/her last breath? In that scene, Shepard is not shown to be breathing at all until about the last 2 seconds of that scene before going into the credits. The sudden breath Shepard takes shows that he/she is alive, NOT dead.

Read the ME3 script that was leaked before the game's release. That scene is labeled "Shepard lives" by the writers.
They kept it open to interpretation in case any players want to headcanon that he/she dies. But their intent was clear.
Because having a half dozen other endings where Shepard dies is clearly not enough. The one where SHepard lives will just have to share.

Nor is there any to the contrary.
The fact that the "breath" scene even exists, along with the not so subtle allusions added in the EC indicating that Shepard might perhaps not have kicked the bucket, is very much a sledgehammer method of saying "hey, Shep isn't dead".
Besides, Shepard survived getting sat on by Sovereign, and shortly later died, went through re-entry, and was somehow resurrected. If they expect me to suspend my disbelief over Shep surviving an explosion, I'd say it isn't much of a stretch.

Shepard dies in all the other endings and it is clear to me not only from all the damage shepard went through since shepard died from less damage in me2
But because if bioware wanted shepard to be alive they would've shown more of him or her being alive so I don't think their intent was for him or her to live espically since every other ending has him or her dead anyway

If you chose to destroy to destroy the reapers then you did the right thing if you chose to destroy so shepard may live then I'm sorry to say this but that is not this ending
Shepards thoughts and emotions live on for all eternity in control instead of being a dead or paralyzed body on the ground

Still doesn't matter tho, the fact that we have to talk about this shows that whatever bioware wanted to convey....wasn't conveyed.

Very much this.
Funny how this is one scene EC didn't touch. I thought it was supposed to provide "clarity and closure"?

Indeed. Bioware is just too utterly cheap to provide exposition to the one version where shep lives.

See this is fine I'm sure that shepard did die but if you chose this choice to stop the reapers then that is fine we were all trying to stop the reapers one way or another anyway

This also. Choosing Destroy simply so Shepard can live is about as selfish as it gets. The ultimate Renegade decision if you will.

Problem is you can still see the wards breaking away in the explosion. So either this slide shows the Citadel being halfway fixed, some time after the ending, or person that edited the destroy cinematic made a cut bit too late.pirate1802 wrote...
Also, the presidium tower looks pretty intact for the amount of damage it took.

Yeah because using twitter and books that are not in the game is so fact worthy just how I can rewrite anything on wikipedia and if you look it up you still might believe it
