Hmm. My idea: human fully customizable Shepard is difficult to put in any form of pre-rendered video or even slides - different face, different LI. He would have to wear a helm all the time, or it would have to be some real time rendered cutscene, which usually doesn't give that really cinematic feel to it...

...but that is awfully weak explanation, tbh.

Yep they were terrified of annoying IT fans so they refused to give any proper exposition for high EMS shep lives in epilogue.

Your last thread was closed for being confrontational and elitist, both in the thread title and in your responses to others, not because of the opinions you hold. If you can carry on this conversation without name-calling or insults against those who disagree with you, this thread can stay open.

Seriously it would have taken one scene and a few seconds to fix this.  A scene of a convalescing Shepard.  Or just slightly altering a scene that already exists

Breath scene:  Show a rescue team finding Shepard (echoes of ME1) and calling for a medic

Memorial scene:  LI hesitates, Normandy receives word of Shepard's rescue, Normandy takes off.

A full-on reunion isn't necessary.  It would be great.  But not necessary.  Just the certainty that Shepard lives to match the certainy in every other ending that Shepard dies.

That is all that was needed that wasn't worth asking too much U_U

Please don't, LiarasShield.  I'm as passionate about this topic as you are.  It's something I think the devs really need to hear about and address.  And don't want to see this thread closed and buried too.

It shouldn't have to be I shoudn't have to imagine shepard being alive when all they would've had to do was normandy get a message of him or her being alive or showing his or her face or a team digging shepard out not a full on reunion but something a bit more

Why couldn't they have done that in extended?

Just stop. You really are getting confrontational about this. Your opinion is fair. Your demeanour really isn't.

Yeah but the false interviews and the false prerelease  comments before mass effect 3 even came out it makes it extremely hard to trust any of the moderators espically if they are from bioware

I agree it would have been easy for them to add a sign Shepard is alive but they simply don't want to... spekulationz and all. I'm happy we at least got the Memorial Wall scene.

But yeah closure for our 5 year protagonist shouldn't have been really too much to ask for but I guess making some of us suffer is appealing I guess well if they make a new one I hope it doesn't repeat the same thing again

Then don't give any excuse.  Just keep asking the questions:

Why was a live Shepard not given closure?

Why are there only speculations when every other ending confirms a death?

Why can't a few seconds and minor changes be added to provide closure?

Be intelligent.  Be respectful.  Be the better arguer.  If Bioware really cares about the fans, they need to hear this.  And if we're ignored, at least we did all we could.  And at least we know how much we're really valued.

It's not enough.  A suddenly Force-sensitive LI doesn't provide closure to Shepard's situation.

Stargazer was more than enough for me to imply a solid closure to the legacy of Shepard. I don't want everything spelled out for me.
