Yeah fight the good fight LiarasShield, but in a proper way. I still can't fathom why they didn't add a few footsteps, "we've found him/her", little stuff like that. Would barely take seconds.

And I'm with iakus, if it turns out they didn't add closure to appease IT fans my rage would block out the sun. Even though my canon isn't destroy, my destroy!shepard was my first and one of my most favourite ones. :'(

Now, that's not fair. The mods here are much more generous than they need to be. Almost half the threads posted in this sub-section of the forum aren't anything directly to do with the story. They're about EA, or MP, or Dinosaurs.

And do the mods close some of these threads? Yes. But I've seen many threads reach 10+ pages, and I don't think that's because the mods aren't watching. As long as it's civil conversation, it's left open.

We should be thankful for our mods.

Because they pretty much said that Shepard does survive, and a reunion can and would very well happen in this scenario. But because people we're all like "THIS NO MAEK A SENSE SHEPARD IS DEAD YOU DUMB EAWARE, YOU DUMB!" They simply said "Okay, if you think your shepard is dead, then he or she is dead."

I agree with OP, this scene looks so bad i even replaced it with heroic Shepard from me1 video. Whole stargazer scene and "normandy crash on garden planet"..they look so out of place imo.

please bioware even if you won't change the ending can you please explain to us why that alive shepard couldn't get any closure while the shepards that die in control and synthesis do?

And if the scene was that obvious, there wouldn't be so many people wondering about the scene.  And comments that it makes no sense.

The fact that so many people are confused and unhappy with the scene shows how badly it fails in its purpose.

I think if I heard a distant 'Shepard!' from Tali right after the breath, I'd be satisfied and it would feel complete.

Yep how is it ok to provide reams and reams of closure to all dead Sheps in the other endings and yet they refuse to provide similar levels of exposition for live shep in high EMS EC.

Then people would have asked "how did Tali get there?". It was a slippery slope to go down.

A little bit more closure on the actual shepard being alive part would've been just fine that would've been more then enough

I don't care about slopes. That simple, easy thing, or one simple slide is what would make 'me' feel better about it. Of course, a three hour reunion story would still be picked apart by some.

Yep show some some medics finding Shep in rubble, Shep in hospital bed, Shep voicing high EMS epilogue. Any nymber of things they could have done to provide proper exposition. Pretty much anything but dumping breath scene at end of epilogue like garbage without any proper linking to the epilogue.

Taking quotes out of context then turning them into straw-men isn't anything new on BSN while its getting old fast just like insults.

I agree it would have been easy for them to add a sign Shepard is alive but they simply don't want to... spekulationz and all. I'm happy we at least got the Memorial Wall scene.

It's not enough.  A suddenly Force-sensitive LI doesn't provide closure to Shepard's situation.

Yet this happens with all the LIs and hand holding isn't necessary since ME3 is the end of Shepard's story arc.

I agree completely with your lack of trust. I don't trust BioWare either. From now on, I'll believe things when I see them. And if Dragon Age 3 requires MP to play the SP (the ME3 team said it wouldn't), that will be it for me. I'll stop supporting BioWare, however much I love their games.

HOWEVER, the moderators themselves are either A: told what to say by a guideline, or B: they had no idea they were lying.

This is especially unfair to Ninja Stan, as he's not even technically with BioWare anymore. He stays on as a moderator because he has fond memories of this community. That's incredibly flattering, as a member of the BSN.

Now, to actually address the topic. Destroy suffers in two major points, I feel. You don't get to see the Geth shut down. You don't get to see Shepard get up.

Both of these set-pieces would be really emotional moments, maybe some of the most emotional in the trilogy. There is only one reason I can think of why they wouldn't show these: they're not sure what they're doing with ME4 yet.

It's to appease the IT fans.

They went out of their way to make sure that interpretation is intact.

Otherwise we would have at least gotten a slide of your LI by your side.
