 So the year is almost done and con season is over so the only big north American videogame thing is the VGA's. Now Bioware unveiled ME3 there do will they follow it up with Dragon Age 3 or do u think they will wait until E3?

I'm hardly a magic-8-ball, but signs point to yes.

It's possible we'll hear something before then, but ME2, for example, was announced at the VGAs and it seems they really are quite far along in production.

My gut says no. My guess is that Bioware will wait till the start of next year before they pull the covers of the next Dragon Age game.

Kind of a doubled-edge sword in announcing it.  One, you need to do it early enough to build up hype and momentum, yet at the same time, since this is a Bioware game, not too soon where the criticism can be built up as well.

They'll do it at the VGAs.

They did it with ME3...they will do it with DA3

BIoWare has had something there the past couple VGAs- the Command and Conquer thing last year and ME3 before that. I'm guessing when they announce will in part be determined by when the new consoles announce too. But I'd expect them to announce at the VGAs.

If they don't then they'd either have to wait longer into 2013 to reveal or announce and reveal at E3, where there would be a good chance it'll just get overshadowed by the new consoles.

I'v had the feeling for a while that they are going to have the announcement trailer at the VGA's. They always seem to do something at the VGA's.

 Ugh. You mean I have to sit through another meaningless awards show with insipid dialogue and cringe-worthy jokes with a guest appearance by a Jonas Brother in order to see a trailer that won't explain a whole lot for a game I may not even buy?

I have fairly negative feelings toward the VGAs myself (from what I've read, their treatment of women is quite poor, for instance). I don't really know if there's another plausible venue in that timeframe, but if there is I would most likely prefer it.
