I revive if I can, simple as that.

You guys are pretty unfriendly with your stupid rules.

If a pug repeatedly gets itself killed, miles away from the rest of the squad i stop reviving that pug because 1) he is putting me in danger and we both might get downed 2) if i leave the rest of the squad to save him, then i'm putting 2 better players at risk by abandoning them.

Meh.
I'd rather not waste time going out of my way to revive a guy over and over because he's not competent enough to notice that his current tactics are very not working out for him.

Am I the only one here who has rules on reviving people?
Like when I'm PUGging it up, everybody gets two. After that, I hope you like spectator mode.
For those Rambo players you only get one.

That kind of makes you a bad player. It's a team game. If you can safely revive someone, why wouldn't you? Even if all they are is a mobile decoy, it's helpful.

Personally, I always go for revives if I'm a Kroguard (unless there's a banshee or atlas, I can take out a phantom or brute quick enough), since he can handle the fire. Other classes, I'll try to clear the area so that I can do it without dying, or I do it from behind soft cover.

These don't apply to hacks where people are outside the hack. Those ones can either bleed or gel.

I usually revive everyone. It makes people happy and sometimes they'll return your kindness.

That said, there are cases when I just can't get to you or you are being a jerk, so I let you bleed out.

Agree. But also when you do revive jerks sometimes it changes the whole match(they start playing like a team)

I think people forget that this is a co-op game.

I don't think I do ... no ... I just revive everyone and everything. Only exception is when they're on the other side of the map from me and I'm dealing with a Boss-Level enemy. Sometimes if something with a Sync-Kill is close to you I won't risk reviving you until I've dealt with it first. I don't really consider that a rule though, just common-sense.

I'll do anything short of suiciding to revive people. That's free points, you'd be stupid not to take them.

That guy singing/yelling through the whole match?  Yeah, no revive for you buddy.  Though I was sure to run over to him so everyone thought that I had it and they wouldn't come, and then stood right on top of him so he would see me.

He stopped singing and went to drink some more, I dunno.

I have to agree. I sometimes do revive jerks. Especially since I play gold, but can't solo it. I sometimes need the jerk in the game.

Exactly. Consideration goes both ways.

Seriously, though, if you can revive without putting yourself at risk, not doing so is a decision that increases the likelihood or the match ending in failure. If you consistently increase the chance of the match ending in failure, you're a bad player.

If its safe to revive then I revive - if you choose not to revive just for the sake of it in a co-op game then I hope I never have to play with you, what an ass.

What does that have to do with anything?

If we get more XP, then we rank up faster.

I couldnt give any less of a crap about the scoreboard.

Not everyone is as skilled as you.

I can play gold and typically get a high score with no gear amps on, doesn't mean I think lesser of other players, we're all here to have fun and support each-other.

The OP is an Xbox player. This explains a lot.

I hope you meet someone with similar 'rules' when you're playing, OP. Because if you play on anything but bronze/silver you can be damn sure you will sometimes die > 2 times per game.

The first rule of battlefield triage/first aid is return fire. Don't expect to be revived when I am in a fire fight unless I can get to a covered location. You are better off losing one soldier than 2.
