Why? Mo' revives = mo' xp= mo' better.

I think people forget that this is a co-op game.

Indeed. :?

I revive teammates if at all possible. If by some chance I end up laying on top of you, at least I didn't let you die alone. :kissing:

I will always revive. Unless there are three banshees on top of their body and I am doing an objective.

I will revive but will neutralize any enemies nearby first. I often see pubbies die trying to revive someone next a Geth pyro or turret. If someone is on the other side of the map that is infested with enemies, then they need to medi-gel or else bleed out.

If someone is downed far away from the objective like a Hack or escort, I am not going to risk my life to revive them. Use your medi-gel.

Please, please do not revive someone near a Banshee. Either use a missile or run away so the Banshee follows you so your teammate can medi-gel or someone else can revive them. Unless you want a date with a Banshee! :P

I get your point but unless they're playing very recklessly where I'll be in danger if I revive them, then I usually just revive them. I just recently played a match where I kept reviving a guy and then I went down later in the game and that player ran across the screen to revive me. Reciprocity.

If I see they are playing like a moron, yes I'll make them spectate. If they are just being picked on by the CPU, I'll revive as many times as I can.

Yesterday we were on an objective wave, it was the one where you need to bring the two packages back to extraction... So this person picked up the package, and instead of heading back to extraction, he was continuing to fight, so when he died I did not revive. As long as you aren't being stupid, I will try my best to revive you.

I know that this is a dumb reason to hate the OP's proposition, but I very, very frequently go down on wave 1. It's my worst wave in terms of dying, at least with most classes. Only having one more death for the next 9 waves sounds troublesome. I'm good at killing ****, just not great at not dying, and I tend to favor damage over safety.

If randoms are good, they'll be revived no matter the danger and distance. If randoms suck, it's not my problem, gonna revive when it's safe and they're close.

I always try to revive when I can but I'm cautious as to how I do it. I always watch kill feed to know what downed them and if I just don't think I can get to u I have no qualms about running the other way for the sake of the round.

I also keep an eye on scoreboard so I prioritize reviving the "best" player.

As with many obstacles in life I tend to lean heavily on the Drago from Rocky IV approach...

...

"If he dies, he dies."

...

Tolerance of simpin' ass Captain Save-A-Noobs is zero in these parts bro. Bring the noise or have your full to bursting stockpile of Medigel collecting dust in your manifest do it for you.

I revive as much as possible. Even if there's a Phantom closing in from 10M away. If you want to be a dick then play solo.

However as usual I'll turn right around and be a hypocrite.

I wonder if we played the same version of Dragon Age bro.

I revive everyone until it's been 3-4 times.
I find reviving very important towards success, I only play public rounds usually.
If it's toward the end of the wave I might not bother though.

Revive the ones that dies first.
In case I can't revive them all, I go for the most helpful.
It doesn't matter if the guy is a jerk, the more guys on the field, the fewer will be the weapons that are going to aim me. So yeah, I'm using you for your bodies

My rules for reviving

1) Kill near by enemy mobs before reviving to ensure I do not go down first.
2) Do not leave the rest of the team flapping in the breeze to revive some one
3) Do not revive if less than 5 seconds are left on the extraction clock, pointless
4) Do not revive some one who is not helping on the objective [see rule 2]

In PUGs I only go out of my way to revive the players that prove at the very least to be useful decoys.

Only revive when whatever killed them is dead.

Don't risk getting killed for a revive.

I have only two rules when it comes to revive.

What will get you revived
1. Act like a Team player and I will treat you like you're part of the team.

What will NOT get you revived
2. Act like a putz, treating people like trash, and just being a overall

I will always try to go to you and assess my chances of revivng you and us both surviving it. I really can't see the point of me going down when you will be disorientated getting up, but if saving you means using a cobra because my current character can't bring enough DPS and I think we can spare it then, that's what they are for, no? Make it safe, then revive.

(...unless it's a hack or escort and you imagine you are "providing a distraction" on the other side of the map and are ignorant of  the enemies around the objective. But the mission takes pririty, no? :innocent:)

I think in most cases (hacks and 'right next to you' excepted) we should just medigel on objective waves anyway...  (this operation weekend excepted ofc)

When playing with my team I tend to find I often get there quickly (I like fast characters) start staggering enemies and another of the team revives. When that happens with PUGs I think the team often starts working better together. If you give up after 2 revives like OP says, then they won't be staying in your lobby long and you lose the chance to build on your teamwork and maybe make some friends.

Have fun :)

There is no way i'll ever pay enough attention to the game to keep track of who i've revived.

So, I just revive everybody. Maybe if you were just being a complete dic over the mic (which is the only way i'd notice you being a dic) then I wouldn't, but that's just a theory. Not too many people on PS3 with mics and those that i've met have been nice.

If it's just not safe to revive you, yeah....your on your own.

I always revive, unless I'm pinned down in the Hack Circle, and you died going Rambo halfway across the map.

Two in the match or in the wave? Also no, I don't have revive rules LOL.

Two each match.
Unless you proved how incapable you are, in which case that get's reduced to one, or I just leave the lobby.

So if somebody goes down twice in waves 1-9, then goes down in early wave 10 (despite how helpful they've been otherwise) you'd let them bleed out? If so, if the mission fails because with the added work you can't complete the objective, it's your fault because your rules for reviving makes you less of a team player. There's an old saying that goes something like "**** happens". I'd rather revive somebody (especially if I can get to them safely) and have them there to back me up or at least draw some fire away from me than be a jerk and not revive them, and then get downed myself with possibly nobody there to revive me.
