Usually the people who don't revive are the rambos. The funniest thing I ever saw was a rambo who didn't revive anyone the whole match. We all bled out except him/her, and he/she promptly proceded to bleed out before wave 10 awarded credits. I lol'd so hard.

I don't like playing with people who aren't team players.  Elitists can go play with themselves.

If theyre team playing i revive, dont really care if theyre noobs, everyone was noob one day.

Also, dying a lot happens, youre not in good mood everyday. Or sometimes youre jsut testing a build, or youre low level etc.

I always try to revive if i'm nearest and can do so without endangering myself. So if I look round the corner at your body and see two turrets and a phantom, sorry friend, you're sitting out the rest of this wave. I also do not want reviving if I have got myself in a similar mess, for cripes sake stay away.

I try and revive people most of the time. Unless they're constantly running off to the other side of the map to die.

In PUGs I only go out of my way to revive the players that prove at the very least to be useful decoys.

So elitist of you.

I always revive if I can, but if a particular player keeps dying constantly I usually tell them "Play smart [player], you keep dying." If they don't leave out of embarrassment they stick with the team.

In a PUG match yesterday, I became intently focussed on the group of Geth that had spawned quite near me, and I went down... only then did I realise it was wave 3, a hack, and everyone else was some way off. "Can't get to you, you're too far away" one said. I'm rather medi-gel poor at the moment, so I sat out the wave, and apologised at the end for getting distracted. Anyway, all four of us got chatting and had a great few games together after that .
Cool story, I know, I'll probably be telling it to my grandchildren one day.

I have one simple rule of reviving others... if someone goes down, I do my best to revive them. Period.

This has happened to me too, actually.  I also confused hack with drone objective one time. I was dead sure one time we got hack, but we got drone escort. I sat there, shooting at stuff, and thinking I was helping my team... until I realized the "hack" wasn't there. I was so embarassed, I ran to my teammates immediately, almost at the end of the escort. -_-'

Such situations have led to a lot of shame-gel moments for me. My teammates always come to rescue me, though, even after such stupid displays. I probably have luck and get good nice people in PUGs. ^_^

But seriously, I always try to revive if I can. Even if they're going down an inexplicable number of times - could be newbies or lagging bad on their end. Only time I don't revive is if:

1. Someone else beat me to it. Then, I provide cover fire or, if playing a GE, pop a shield-healing turret at their feet for insta-shields upon arising.

2. I am in the middle of an objective. Sorry, but if I am currently busy deactiving one of the four devices, carrying a pizza, escorting a drone (and you're on the other side of the world), or in the middle of killing an assassination target, you can either medigel or wait it out.

3. You have an entire spawn sitting on your corpse and I'm out of missiles. Or if you bleed out while I'm dealing with the turret sitting on your head.

So, I am fairly forgiving. Yes, even if you're being Rambo on the other end of the map, I'll try and book it over to your position. It's just the caring kind of gal I am. LOL Plus, one of my favorite moves ever is the Heroic Save a.k.a. stopping an execution right before it's performed (Overload FTW, baby!), then swooping in for the revive.

Yeah, we all have our daft/clumsy moments.

So don't be too quick to label someone a moron, people.

You get only two rescue expeditions from me, after that it becomes to expensive to save someone else's mistakes.

To clarify, that means you're off on your own safari, killing things with big guns then you get dropped by a charging predator.  I'll come get you twice, with a gentle reminder of what you should be doing the second time.  I don't mount a third expedition.

Otherwise, I revive without a second thought if I can reach you.

I try to revive as much as possible bc usually more people alive = better Vance of winning. Plus u get $ and exp for reviving. And people return the favor when u screw up. Unless its not possible to get someone I will at least try

I love using stasis or pull to buy revive time

[addendum] I usually say "oh no you don't!" as I swoop in Posted Image

Very nice. Since I typically play the same main character the majority of the time, my line, once someone thanks me, is, "No prob. I'm just your friendly, neighborhood Turian Sentinel to the rescue." Posted Image

My only rule for revival is clear area, then revive. If you're surrounded I'll try to take them down and get you on your feet. Sometimes they bleed out before I can wax the Phantom, Atlas and whatever other uglies are around...

Depends on my mood. Usually I'll revive players if they're nearby. If they're far away from the group, it really depends on how much they're contributing, and what class I'm playing. If you died out in the middle of a crowd of enemies, and I'm using something squishy without massive crowd control or Tactical Cloak, you're SOL.

I had been making a habit of always running for the revive, but I've given that up since breaking formation can screw things up so often.

I used to be a medic in the army IRL. The first thing they train us is not to rush to an injured soldier without first checking for danger. Its far worst for the platoon to lose their medic than another soldier.

If you sprint into a spawn, Stay dead. If I sprint into a spawn with you, everything but us is dead. If you're near me when you're downed, I'll revive you. If you get downed by something weak across the map, I'll sprint over and revive you. If you got downed by a phantom, atlas or banshee, it's your problem to get up, i'm too busy killing them.

I'll always revive if I can. The more teammates alive the merrier and if all players stay happy we're more likely to make it to extraction. :)

I'm typically the same way. Try to revive as often as I can. Your heroic save bit reminds me of something that happened a while back. Friend and I were playing a couple games and he was completely out of medigels so I was on super revive alert. Think it was on Ghost. Anyway, he goes down just past the landing pad. I was killing something at the time but when I finished I run over to see him about to get stomped. Was playing a Salarian Infiltrator, I'm sitting here like "What do I do?!" as I was waiting for a cooldown so no powers and I only had a sniper rifle equipped. I see the foot go up and just go beserk with melee. I heard the squish from the stomp but I hit the trooper with about 4 or 5 light melees and killed it and managed to revive my friend afterward. It was intense.

I always go for people, and I hate being a fraction too slow to get them up.

If there is a phantom I will kill it first, for my own safety.
Obviously stampers must be stopped first.

Otherwise, with regards to other immediate hostiles...
If I know I can revive and flee safely, I prefer to run in and revive people, because worst case it will reset their bleed out timer.  Is it bad form; do people get bothered by being revived into the same trouble??  I'm never sure about this, but I never want to see that skull appear.  (Plus I think people would want to get even on whatever it was...)

This.
My Kroguard has seen so many squishy things die before his very eyes... and half of them were his friends.

Yeah I have rules for reviving. If I like you, you get revives, if not, you don't.

I also don't expect revives if I die of my own stupid mistakes.
