Hey look... I won't revive either if the guy is in between turrets and some Phantoms. But when you can revive, why won't you? They will serve atleast as distraction or they might actualy start playing as part of the team as they see, you got their back.

They sure as hell won't start playing as a team when you leave them alone when you could have been ressing them, or start ****ing at them trough mic.

Nobody has ever started playing as a team after the 7th revive. And they are hardly a good distraction.

Had a few matches where I have been reviving some people constantly. In turn, when I went down because of blunder, they came to my aid and revivived me. We ended up winning the game.

Ok there are some who aren't totally brain-dead. Looks like that's only the one's I play with.
They do dumb things, go down, get revived, continue  dumb things, go down, get revived, repeat ad nauseum.
It's a tragic thing to watch.

If people continue to do stupid things and it endangers the team to attempt a revive, of course it's sensible not to go out of your way.

You might want to change your OP though. Because at the moment it looks like 'If you go down > 2 times in 1 match, I won't revive you even if you died through an unavoidable sequence of events and I am standing right next to your body.'

Lol, what? No. I revive everyone, anytime, if I can get to them.
Thank god, there are two other people in squad, who probably don´t have any stupid "rules".

My rules for reviving

1) Kill near by enemy mobs before reviving to ensure I do not go down first.
2) Do not leave the rest of the team flapping in the breeze to revive some one
3) Do not revive if less than 5 seconds are left on the extraction clock, pointless
4) Do not revive some one who is not helping on the objective [see rule 2]

I usually always revive unless the person is surrounded by so many enemies that it would be hopeless to even attempt to revive them.

Die-hard Novaguards get lowest priority, unless they actively help with objectives and revivals (showing they aren't just here for the kills).
Similarly, anyone who refuses objectives or revivals in favour of kills, or anyone who's done something particularly dumb (punching Banshees, ATLASes etc.) and persists in doing so.

Normally though, i'll drop everything and rush to a downed squaddie, unless if breaking off from a fight means i'd die, or if i'm doing an objective that no one else is, like Devices, Hack Circle, or holding the Pizza.

I'll revive anyone as many times as needed. I make the effort to get you up as soon as possible. There are times when you do die a bunch of times during a wave, especially from the enemies with homing projectiles.

Only reasons I wouldn't revive is:
1. if your dying body is surrounded by a ton of enemy bosses and are directly above you and i have no rockets
2. your all the way across the map alone (unless your doing an objective)
3. if you're a jackass (e.g., you constantly not reviving a team member directly under your feet when you clearly could have safely without worry of enemy fire, but instead you went rambo)

I revive everyone if it's possible, because I'm not a D'bag.

I can understand you legitimately getting swarmed, but when you charge a late wave spawn to plink away with your Phalanx, then you're out of luck.

Back when ME3 was new and just launched, I played with people who would revive me then stop, then revive and then stop, and go away trolled me. Or left me to die when I was dropped right next to them because I got dropped one time too many for them, so judgemental.

And so mean man. I never do that to people though. Except maybe one time when this guy was fighting an atlas on Gold and never use cover after 4-5 revive on the same spot.  That's worth ignoring.

Part of the reason some people don't revive others is a lack of confidence & competence going into it, they either get nervous and ignore the enemies and blunt a revive, or maybe their build is wrong and their characters are very low on HP and weak, and can't chance it.  Low level N7 players do that.

It's usally no problem for me to go out of the way to revive somebody even on Platinum now, low risk.  So I do that, all the time.  If a guy keep dropping I reposition close to him.  It's part of the game.

I once MVP a Battlefield 3 team death match doing nothing but revive alone, it's crazy, pretty much single handedly helped my team won the entire match . It was pretty close call, what like 5-6 points away from losing. I must have revived like 15 maybe 20 guys.  I wish the Mass Effect's BF3 soldier character can do that. Instant revive, wow, awesome.

I played Gears 3 and ME3 up until then, never once was there such a thing. It's pop and go. It was alot of fun, and very different. I don't think it'll be fair back to these Horde type game mode though. But it's a thought.

Maybe we need a medic character class that do just that.  Or able to remotely revive someone, that'll be pretty awesome too.

About once a day I'm reminded that getting myself killed trying to revive someone is worse than letting them bleed out.

If you are going to go down, do it in a place that I can get you up without taking an excessive amount of fire.

If you are on the other side of the map, by the time I run to you, dodging ravager shots, or turrets or rockets, you will probably be dead anyway. Learn to medi-gel.

I will revive everyone that it is safe to do so. Especially the idiots, the more time the AI spends tracking and shooting at them is less time it is shooting at me.

Since the missile launcher update, I'd sometimes revive fallen teammates near Banshees on purpose to get their attention. Then I pull out the Cobra and kill it (and everything around her) before she sync kills him.

The multiple vocal reactions that come from my teammates are priceless.

It would be kind of cool with some kind of class that could revive other players quicker than the regular ones, or possibly revive more than one player at the time. But the downside would be if everybody would assume that he/she should do all the reviving, which could sort of defeat the purpose of having someone specialized in reviving for extremely difficult situations.
