Because, Mass Effect 2 dlc had a drammatic impact on the Suicide mission.
At least those DLCs accomplished something. We didn't get crap from the Leviathan DLC, with the exception of another turkey slap to remind us that the Catalyst is still there, screwing up years of gaming in fifteen minutes.
Because, recruiting the original Reapers to your cause and gaining valuable insight to your enemy accomplishes nothing.

What does it accomplish that already can't be accomplished? Additional info in itself just isn't thrilling to everyone, and it's understandable.
But then, why would you buy something thats sole purpose is to expand upon knwon information?

Omega everytime, I'm happy with my endings. I want Bioware to spend their time on new stuff, not just spend their time fixing old things, such as an ending that some people like and some people dislike.

Once you start paying developers for things like the ending, they'll start screwing it up on purpose.

Implying that the Reaper origin story is worth a damn.

If you're saying it accomplishes extra info, that's fine. That isn't going to interest everybody in itself, and logic says it's not a must buy to them.
I bought it and scored it an 8 in the survey. It accomplishes adding more ME stuff to do. My end result was the exact same without Leviathan. Clearly it doesn't accomplish anything in that area.

I would say yes. It is a very interessting story. Would not mind a DLC or Book or Comic that delves deeper into their background.Someone With Mass wrote...

I agree, not everybody is interessted in the background of the reapers. But it changes things.
It infuances the context and your perception of the Reapers. It adds to the bigger picture .
Which is all I needed for the DLC to do.
