Double the capacity and firerate, buff the damage by 25% and make it full auto and I'll give it another shot.

.......

It would be rather OK with a 16% buff.

I would go for a 22% buff.

Or 54 damage per pellet at level X. Then it would have around 720 DPS......

In other words: It would be better then the Tempest.

You guys.....
Are very unfamiliar with how small the DPS universe is.

I didnt even like it in ME2 but in ME3 its just the piranha's retarded cousin that sits in a corner and fondles itself all day while drooling.

That's not saying too much.

I'd say 800 DPS would be better.

Anyway, the Scimitar really does need some love. All three ultra-light weight shotguns do.

It should be a great gun for vanguards and engineers. I'd love it if it did just a bit more damage and had its ROF tuned up to about 120. Make it the perfect gun for taking out close to mid-range enemies while covering a retreat.

800 would be skirting what we could get over the course of three balance changes.

It would take a small mathmatical thesis delivered by a pair of the worlds hottest callgirls delivered to Fagnans doors to get that in a single balance change.

ME2 had other weapons than the Predator, Mantis and Widow?
News to me! I only ever used those 3!

For now.... I am going to stick to 54 per pellet as the Ideal scimitar damage value.

It's probably the lightest shotgun. You should take that into consideration.

Any recharge speed that is 150% + you shouldn't notice ANY difference.

and the Piranha reaches a solid 170%. The Scimitar reaches 190%.

Honestly why would you ever choose the scimitar over the Piranha.

Because some class/race combos have lower weight capacities than others.

The Lowest capacity cap is .6

The Pirhana weighs 170% for those characters.

170% is what you get with the Fury specced for capacity.
Your point being?

I'd rather see a new, upgraded Scimitar, like Wraith is upgraded Evi. With cool sound effects and all that.

.... You would rather spend 10 million credits upgrading a "Cutlass" shotgun instead?

Divide 100RPM by sixty.
Multiply this by sixty damage.
Multiply this by eight pellets.

800 DPS again? Really?

At least think of something clever to mask the fact from me. :D

Say "If they buffed its rate of fire to 136" I probably wouldn't have even bothered checking.

For the Scimitar to be a good gun you need like 100% damage buff and that isn't going to happen. Better off with a new, shiny elite version of the Scimitar, with new sound and new look.
