If it gets overpowered by buff one, we are very likely to see it just get nerfed back to its current self.

Maybe not quite.

We will end up with a better weapon in the end if we buff it slowly, instead of risking overpowering it.

That could be true, but overpowered or overpowered for what it is? If the latter that wouldn't be so bad.

So you either risk a small buff that doesn't do much and not seeing another for months. Or, a buff that makes the gun slightly OP for what it is (which again isn't really a bad thing) and not seeing it unbuffed for months.

I don't want to wait for a month for 2 buffs to a gun that make it become decent. Bioware likes mixing buffs up and the chances of the Scimitar being buffed 2-3 times within 2 months are unlikely.

A 22% buff, which would leave it at 720 DPS, would let it an actual valid choice in gameplay again, without risking rendering other weapons worthless at its heel.

These balance changes are going to take a long time.

Quite frankly these buffs we reccomend, if we push them for three weeks we are likely to see them.

Getting the LOCUST buffed took most of a month.

Asking for an unreasonably generous buff is more likely to get us shot down.

Then 15% damage and 110 RPM would leave us in the same neighborhood.

I'll take your word for it. I've only used the gun once myself and that was very close to release when I wasn't good at the game. All I remember was that I wasn't impressed.

I still use it on the SI and the HE.

Its just not all that good.

It's probably just as good as it was in ME2. If you noticed, enemies and allies in that game had MUCH less shields and health.

Yes, I am trying to be funny. No, I am not succeeding.

Worth the effort.
Now that I look at it, it almost does seem like they've literally taken the ME2 damage and converted it to ME3, without the approrpiate scaling.

Your welcome.

I may have to make another (as well as a thread) for another weapon in dire need of a buff.

The GPR.

Well, I like to role play with my geth. My GI is a hunter w/ a GPS and my GE is a trooper w/ a GPR. That gun needs some serious love.

It's probably the lightest shotgun. You should take that into consideration.

The Disciple beats it outright in every category, especially weight.
Again, according to stats bar. But I know it's lighter, for sure, as I was actually comparing the two earlier.

i like the scimitar. i had never used it till a friend suggested i try it. fired semi auto....it can be fired as fast as the piranha...has greater accuracy at range...and a nice punch.

choke and extended barrel with ap ammo...hmm...

used it on gold as a backup weapon with good results....will try as only weapon on gold and see how it goes.

i usually rock the disciple. then again...i only rock the disciple on my asari justicar...mhmmmm so sexy together.

Not my style of play really.

+The Scimitar I think is supposed to be the sister gun, so why not buff it?
