There happens to be an incident in this questline where you lose every single thing in your inventory. Not saying how, but it happens. Oh by the way, your preorder and CE items? Gone. Nothing.

What the hell? At least stick it in a chest somewhere with a note going "Heh, I swiped these on the way out, <3" because holy hell how did this pass QA.

Someone in another thread said you get them back, I also lost my items and hope I haven't gotten to where they come back, and that it didn't glitch and not give them back.

No you in fact don't. Everything in your inventory is gone.

Uncheck all the boxes for all the installed DLC. Load, save, quit, recheck boxes.

It's a workaround, but I bet it works.

No, that doesn't work for everyone. (e.g. me)

Note that the workaround does not restore the memory ring, as far as I know. I lost mine permanently.

I've also heard it will actually give back the frozen grimoire, so you can get infinite stats using this exploit.

Edit: this work around did indeed work w/ my game.

Yes, I noticed this too. Can't they just patch this to ignore any and all DLC items? I'm not so miffed that I lost the dagger and whatnot but what about everything else?

Just wanted to confirm force loading did work to get me back the stuff. Fortunately or unfortunately I haven't gotten my pre order DLC codes from Amazon yet, so I didn't have the memory stone to lose.

Well now I'm afraid to bother playing...I'm going to have to start a game and not use any special items.

As far I can tell from the forums this is only the Dwarven Noble. And you can get everything back, and if you have the memory stone, it'll probably work to just not apply it to your save game until after you get out of the Dwarven Noble origin story.

Any way to get the memory ring back?

I have this same problem, I lost the ring b/c they took all my eq away in the dwarf noble origin, and I don't want to have to start over...

This happened when I did the Dwarf Commoner quest and ended up in Jail, I lost the Blood Dragon Armor... I didn't lose the bonus items I had equipped though.

It's a book that gives you one level for every use, and you can reload it infintely.

I had the same problem playing the dwarf noble. I went on however and as soon as I reached level 7, the option to select the champion specialization was available to me as a warrior. I don't know if this is because I decided to go to the proving grounds and win the tournament before seeing the nobles speaking to the king. Maybe this was a way to make up for this situation, I don't know. But I am however perplexed as to how now I am missing the dragon breastplate in especially.

Hi all, a few clarifications about the items:

1) Memory Band gives you an additional 1% experience (i.e. for every 100 points, you get 1 extra).

2) Frozen Grimoire gives you 3 extra Attribute points (you can put them in Strength, Dexterity etc)

3) Tome of Knowledge (or somesuch) gives you 1 extra Skill.
