Bump for Omega.

Originally I didn't think I was going to record a run through it, but then I figured why not. This is the second run I have done through the DLC (first was a Soldier).

For some reason I was compelled to run the Mattock for this mission. It was only Level IV and I didn't have any money to upgrade it before the mission

This was basically recorded in one straight shot, so what happened is what you get. I can't say that all the approaches are optimal, but the main fights work fairly well like I did them.

These are sort of longish because I recorded all of the Omega DLC, and didn't cut anything (except a load screen or two). That is also why you will notice the part numbers for the combat vids are not exactly sequential.

Now with Citadel.

This DLC was challenging to pull off with this guy. I am not sure if that has to do with the new enemies, the fact that I am rusty with this guy, or a combination of both.

How was the last fight in the story portion of DLC? Did you also try the Mirror challenge?

The last fight was somewhat annoying since he had Charge and I didn't.

I haven't done Spectre enemies at Armax with this character yet.

Ok unlocked "Unusual Scores" challenge at Armax with this guy. So the first thing they want you to do is a match with all the bonuses enabled. They naturally recommend easy enemies....

Random Enemy / Super Elite
Full Bonus (No Medigel, No Thermal Clip, Enhanced Enemy Shields, Enhanced Enemy Damage, One Shot Shields)
Garrus and Miranda

Hilarity ensues. Let's just say I had made an assumption about the "Random Enemy" pool which turned out to be incorrect.

I know you have your mind set on inferno grenades but Marksman would be a fun bonus power for this build. In theory, you should be able to use Nova while under Marksman. It will come in handy for those non-nova situations(you're going to have a lot of those on Grissom).

Although, I do like the idea of not selecting Reave because it forces you to rely on CQC biotic explosions instead of casting from cover. 

I might have to try this out.

I'm currently doing a Marksman Novaguard playthrough.

Marksman and half blast makes things too easy. I'm thinking about taking power recharge instead of half blast and dropping Marksman altogether. I might go with Lash.

Overall, this is a very fun build.

I started a Chargeless NovaGuard playthrough. 

I use Nova (of course), Shockwave, and Reave, with some Incendiary Ammo thrown in.

I am the second post in this thread.  I updated that post with my build, build strategy, and video links for anyone interested. It is nowhere near as good as capn233's version, especially considering he started his No Charge NovaGuard playthrough before the change to fire explosions. And if you have not yet checked out his playthrough, I highly recommend it.

I have attempted my own version of a Chargeless Vanguard, but this is more of a Sniper Vanguard.

Equipped with Black Widow: using Cryo Ammo, Pull, Shockwave and Dark Channel (ment to be Reave but for some reason, its not unlocked). Instead of headbutting enemies, I try to use pull and shockwave for crowd control and to set detonations. Dark channel is my "please kill this target" power where I try to kill the affected enemy so Dark Channel can acquire me a new target. Liara is great for crowd control, and someone good with shields should help as well.

Bruce Shepard is more like a mix of a Vanguard and an Adept. He has two attack methods: the classic Novacharging + CryoTalon for close range encounters, and Pull + Flare for biotic explosions at long range (plus probably the Lancer, if both weapons at lvl X still allows me for +200% Recharge. Althought the Talon has amazing range, so it's not like I'll get depressed if it doesn't).

 

Maybe I'll do a few videos of him (with a few mods) once I finish my 2nd playthought (to get the last lvl V upgrades and all lvl X weapons), and do a DA:I' one (this time for sure).
