There happens to be an incident in this questline where you lose every single thing in your inventory. Not saying how, but it happens. Oh by the way, your preorder and CE items? Gone. Nothing.

What the hell? At least stick it in a chest somewhere with a note going "Heh, I swiped these on the way out, <3" because holy hell how did this pass QA.

I figured it out. After losing the items, go into the 'DLC' menu. Uncheck all of your active DLCs and 'force load' your game. Save. Then go back into your DLC section and re-check all of your DLCs. They should appear in your inventory next time you load your game.

That kind of workaround isn't a fix, though. This REALLY annoyed me, and it needs to be patched! Even if it just means getting your gear back later in the game, from Gorim or someone in Orzammar.

And seriously, why do people keep posting these threads in the General Discussion forum? The whole thread is a moderate spoiler.

They are aware of it. The problem was fixed on the Xbox 360/PS3, if I remember correctly, but the PC DLC was already locked down when they discovered it. It'll probably be fixed in the upcoming patch.

Actually, it is exactly a fix.  Granted, it's a manual fix that you have to apply yourself (for now)...but even that being the case, it does indeed fix the problem and the problem does not reoccur.  The problem is, therefore, fixed.

Your logic is akin to saying that the tires on your car are beginning to wear, and the solution is replacing them - but that isn't a fix!  It's just a workaround by replacing the old tires with new ones!

It's not a fix, if it was a fix (even a manual one) then you wouldn't have the same problem the next time you play a dwarf - but at the moment, you will.

It also doesn't re-enable the Memory Band, so it's not a complete workaround.

Yes, force loading the game kinda of makes the character go a little funky.

Just a warning though later you may run into more issues with the DLC reseting if you do this.

Nothing set in stone that I can say, but I personally had the content reset on me and time outs connecting to my 'online profile storage' my dwarf noble character.

May wanna wait till BioWare fill out the rest of the holes otherwise ^^

I still had my Blood Dragon armor piece when going through this part of the game on my female noble dwarf with 1.03, so it seems to be fixed on PC as well.
