Interesting to see Glacier is the map of choice for many people. I feel the map might be a little too small if you need to complete the Disable 4 mission. At least that's what happened the last time I tried soloing on Glacier. Burned to death by Pyros :(

I actually picked Glacier with the 1234 objectives in mind, after trying a few other maps.

For each 1234 location, it seemed there was a counter or bit of cover that shielded me a bit (as opposed to other maps I tried, where I was more exposed).

Combine that with the bronze geth AI (shooting at your cover, but not rushing you), and it makes for an easy time.

If im not doing the obectives i just chilled around the LZ areas, And if that gets too much i run to the control room. If that's too much, back to the LZ, and so on and so on.

I thought of doing it but there's a spawn where a disable device puts you in the dead end area and if that happens on Wave 10, it can be a problem with bosses running around.  You have no cover.  So I did a random toss between London (favorite), White, and Giant.  White won.

Batarian Soldier/Talon/Bronze/Hydra/Reaper/22 minutes
Krogan Vanguard/Scorpion/Bronze/Glacier/Geth/16 minutes

N7 destroyer/Scimitar/Bronze/Rio/Reaper/ got killed in wave 9. I could have dodged Banshee warp.. but I didn`t... then I got hit by the infamous death shoudler of Marauder followed by cannibal shots. Boy.. did I let my guard down...

I did 3 solos for the squad goals, all with Human soldier, then got carried away and did 4 more :-p
Quarian male infil (surprised at how easy this was), N7engineer, Asari justicar, N7 paladin, all cerberus.

I find Ghost the easiest to solo due to its size and nicely spaced out ammo boxes, perfect for running and gunning. Jade is nice too. Glacier is a killer. Too small=can't kite.

All in all, the most enjoyable weekend operation for me :-)

You can kite Glacier if you use the Fury or the Slayer.  Go through walls.  The bottom area where you can bunker down is nice for the Slayer with sniping with Phase Disruptor.  And with being the host (solo), no lag to worry about zero damage hits.

Failed two solos with N7 shadow on wave 10 as i never do solos.

Switched to Vorcha soldier and extracted on the second attempt. Was Geth on Glacier and Bronze difficulty. Used a geth plasma shotgun and flamer ability and it was nice and easy.

I've made it to wave 10 with a Turian Sentinel, Batarian Soldier and Kroguard, on FB Rio, I know I can do it, just a matter of time and tactics

Embarassingly, I haven't got the hang of playing either Fury or Slayer yet. I admire people who can rock the Fury, though. BE's going off every few seconds, awesome.

My setup:
class: Krogan Vanguard
Weapon: Pirhana X
Map: Firebase White
Enemy: Cerberus
Difficulty: Bronze
3/6/10: Can't remember...

It was my shameful third attempt. First I had played as a Destroyer, and got insta-killed by a Phantom who snuck up on me while I gunned down an Atlas. Second I played as a Novaguard, and was doing well until the Wave 6 objective, which was the Enable/Disable objective. I had to enable one on the outside staircase of FBW, and was slaughtered. Third worked though, and I'll be getting my commendation pack.

class: Krogan Vanguard;
Weapon: N7 Piranha X, with extra ammo and choke;
Map: Picked random and got Reactor;
Enemy: Geth
Difficulty: Bronze
Hacking/Targets/Devices

I picked Stronghold IV as my gear.

Went pretty well. Was only my third attempt at soloing, so I was quite pleased.

I've played both, but as you say sheepishly, I only recently started using the strategy of running into a room with the aura and performing a BE.  It's dangerous but very effective at clearing a room, especially if you teleport in, do your thing, and teleport back out.  Closest thing to Xmen Nightcrawler you'll find in Mass Effect.

 Here's how I did mine.

class: Paladin - This Build
Map: Rio
Enemy: Geth
Difficulty: Bronze - Was the first time I've every completly solo'd anything
Obj. Waves - Disable 4 Points, Eliminate Targets, Hack

I mostly just stuck to the crates side of the map. The disabling the 4 points and target elimination were pretty easy. Things got a little hairy during the hack obj. though. I ran right to the hack as soon as the wave started, and started it ( it was the fenced in area with the pillars) only to find out there was a Prime and quite a few Pyros and Hunters that spawned in it. I spent that entire hack duration rolling, energy draining, and meleeing everything in sight.

Overall, that was one of the most fun games of ME3MP that I've had.

I just wanted to get it over with quickly so I could go back to freely playing how I wanted.

My setup:
class: Krogan soldier
Weapons: Typhoon I, Crusader III
Map: Ghost
Enemy: Geth
Difficulty: Bronze
3/6/10: Hack the big thing, hack the four things, hack the big thing xD Holding locations alone is scary D:

Yeah I just basically set it up so it would actually be a challenge to die (I had like 3.5k shields and about 2.5k health, plus a 40% damage reduction) and just owned everything. Finished that my first try :D

Did U/U/B for kicks

class: BatSent
Weapon: Mattock X w/ Ext Barrel & Piercing
Map: Ghost  Lucky draw
Enemy: Cerebrus
Difficulty: Bronze
3/6/10: Disable 4/Disable4/Hack
Time: 24:47 Full extraction
Consummables/Gear: Cryo Rds /Targeting III/ Shield Recharge III/ Stronghold V

The disable 4's were annoying but easy since I had a lot of shields/recharge rate to absorb punishment.  SubNet is hilarious on bronze, fire and walk away as 3 troopers fry.  SubNet also made phantoms as I could spam it and get headshots as she tried to block the nets.  Barely even need techbursts, as I just ran around and picked off stragglers until everything died.  The hack was quite hard as an atlas spawned next to the hack site, so I played ring-around-the-rosie with it till I finished the hack.

Overall it was very fun and far less stressful than other solo attempts.  First attempt to solo on Ghost or with a BatSent.

class: L20 Vorcha Sentinel
Loadout: Particle Rifle I (Piercing V, Extended Mag V), Claymore X (Smart Choke V, Shredder Mod V)
Map: Glacier
Enemy: Geth
Difficulty: Bronze, but theoretically viable on Silver and Gold too
3/6/10: Pizza/Devices/HVTs
Equipment: Warfighter V, Shotgun Rail Amp III, Disruptor Rounds IV, Power Amplifier Module IV

I used the Vorcha Sentinel and Particle Rifle to exploit a loophole in the rules. One of the greatest losses is the ability to use Ops Packs and Thermal Clip Packs. Bloodlust allows the Vorcha to regain health (practically instantaneously if specced right), while the Particle Rifle doesn't even require clips in the first place.

The Claymore was there as a backup for when enemies, particularly Hunters and Pyros, got too close, or when the Particle Rifle needed to vent. It ran out of ammo quickly, especially when faced with HVT Primes, so I often ended up using the Particle Rifle anyway.

My primary room-clearer ended up being Cluster Grenades. With the bonus from the Power Amplifier Module IV, they could one-shot anything short of a Prime, resulting in some spectacular group-wipeouts. Flamer was also worth its weight in gold, being a good anti-Hunter defense.

The basic tactic for this setup is: get Bloodlust going, then keep it going. It won't let you down.

class: N7 Destroyer (specced for as much shields as possible)
Weapon: Phaeston and Piranha (didn't use the piranha though as the Phaeston was more than enough)
Map: Dagger and Giant (did it twice to be sure)
Enemy: Cerberus
Difficulty: Bronze

On bronze with full shields from devastator mode plus shield booster V, cerberus can shoot at you for-close-to-ever without your shields going down, which helped with the disarm/hack missions. A Phaeston with EB, AR rail Amp 2 and warp ammo 2 takes an Atlas down in less than one thermal clip.  Forgot how easy bronze phantoms are to kill. I went a little overkill with everything just to be safe. Also played it cautiously, didn't try to Rambo it out in the open "just because it's bronze" as you can still get shot up pretty bad. Had a device to disarm out in the open on Dagger.  While my shields held all through the disarming procedure, at that point I had just about every bad guy on the map shooting at me. My health went down to a sliver before I was able to take cover. I was a literally a hair away from wiping.  Everything else was easy as pie, though, through both runs.  Actually tried it a third time, but a phantom managed to sneak up behind me and OHK because I was focused on taking down an Atas during a hack on wave 10 ( so close).
