Or do you think they´re sitting in their seats, just waiting to support everyone of us, opposed to spending Christmas with their loved ones?
This is the holidays. Try to show some humanity and allow them to celebrate christmas... you can always continue the rant once the holiday is over.

The more details you give. Higher chances of finding a solution. System specs and exact error message you are getting.

Dude, it's Christmas Day - the most important date for almost 20% of the world's population (including some 60-80% of the United States).
I think that's bloody important enough.
I don't give 2 flying puppies how much you paid for the game, I don't blame them for taking a single day off to spend with their families instead of answering questions from people.
OP: Go watch some Christmas movies, spend some time with your loved ones, or plain stick it out. It's a single day. Give it a rest.

A patch should fix problems and not stop the game from playing at all. As I said I had problems with EA support or the lake of it in the past. Now I do think a reply with 7 days is not to much to ask is it now.

Check it out and the reason I am saying this to you is because you where so passionate about what you said. First not everyone get off Xmas a lot of people have to work to keep things working in this world so as far as your excuse for them spending time with there families is total rubbish. The other thing I like to point out is the game has been out for over a month with a lot of major problems and no fixes LMAO as we are seeing even more issues after some patches. As all the EA / Bioware sits on my hard earned cash for over a month while some of us sit home with a broken and unfinished product. Here another one for you.

Bull****. Have you ever worked software customer service? People yell at you and get frustrated with you 10 hours a day for ******-poor pay with very few benefits. Just because "some" people don't take Christmas off doesn't negate the fact that they deserve it off after working their butts off the other 95% of the time.
Those who work on Christmas usually get another holiday off to make-up for it, or get paid double/triple overtime since it's usually compulsory.
That's the weakest excuse I've ever heard for why someone should be getting tech support on a holiday, much less Christmas which 98% of the businesses around the United States take off.
The other thing I like to point out is the game has been out for over a month with a lot of major problems and no fixes LMAO as we are seeing even more issues after some patches. Oh, I understand quite well that some people are having major issues. Saying, "I have a bug - could we see some effort to fix it" and "OMG WTF WHY DON'T YOU GUYS FIX MY GAME ON CHRISTMAS DAY?!?!" (exaggerated, but barely) are two different things. One is a reasonable request, the other is selfish and completely self-centered.

So, instead of spending time with family, friends, making new ones, reconnecting with loved ones, spreading the cheer, volunteering, or - you know - doing anything that Christmas is all about, your hypothetical situation has the person get pissed off to the point that they feel the need to scream at the company that makes the game.
Even if the OP isn't Christian or doesn't celebrate Christmas, I know better than to offer a hamburger to Muslims for lunch during Ramadan.
It's common sense - the OP's coming to the boards to do nothing but whine (and not provide anything constructive at all - like hardware specs, logs, tried work-arounds, or anything like that) pretty much means they're not really trying to fix it, but rather frustrated that the solution is not handed to them on a silver platter.
Heaven forbid they require a full day of patience so that the people who've been working 'round the clock to fix technical issues might enjoy some dinner with their families and a little bit of holiday cheer before coming back to the bile-spewing boards and irate gamers.
So the Morale of this story for EA/ Bioware.....you have just lost a few sales on ME2 and KOTR mmo,

Somehow, I don't think the Tech support guys really care that one pissed off, unhelpful person isn't going to be bothering them.
On any other day, I'd only be mildly amused by the OP (because, as I said earlier, they provided almost absolutely no helpful information other than it started happening after 1.02a - no hardware, DirectX, or work-around attempts - nothing the least bit diagnostically relevent), but it's Christmas.
So, OP - maybe, just maybe, if you provide some actual info (like the above mentioned specs), and anything you've tried to do to fix it (like re-install the game and re-patch), you might get a response. However, being a jackass gets you nothing.
As for you, Apex, I'm so stopping the FedEx box of turkey and cookies I sent you.

I know I don't. Maybe 1/2 the day but, not the whole day. Hey guess what I have to work. You know why cause I have too while others get to sit home. Anways back on the subject about EA/ Bioware it really has to do with the "lack of" in the last few weeks. I mean come on the last patch was utter bull****. LMAO anyone who is working for a software company is doing what they want for a living because they like it not because they have too. Yes, it is.
Tech support for video games is not a necessary profession during the holidays, unlike farms or hospitals.
She's basically whining at BioWare because her game doesn't work. However, she's whining on Christmas - a day they take off to get away from people like her and spend time with their families. It's incredibly disrespectful.
It is about the fact that it has been over a month and nothing for them.
And they can hold off their hate-filled hot-air for a full day, don't you think? I'm not complaining that she has a problem. I don't mind if she has an issue. I have an issue with her thinking that it will do ANY good today. It doesn't, so her post made out of frustration will only cause more frustration.
LMAO anyone who is working for a software company is doing what they want for a living because they like it not because they have too. Try serving food or some other bull**** job that you hate and have to work for min wage on the holidays. So Cry me a river
Poor EA/ Bioware I bet they don't get paid Min Wage.
I've been there. I also know that there are software engineers, programmers, and artists who are working for nothing because the economy just took a nosedive and the company can't pay them. They're working on promises of future pay, and they're working for that company because they degrees which no one is hiring for.
Tech support staff is bottom-barrel, high turn-over because all you do is get ****ed at all day by people who don't want to spend 5 minutes to learn how to help you. They take **** all year long, and you're going to tell them that they don't deserve 24 hours of peace away from the crowds clamoring to tear them a new arse because they haven't updated drivers, tried re-installing, or done any other of a dozen different things that a computer-literate person would do?
An awful callous attitude to hold today, Mr. Scrooge.
Give them a day off. You'd take one if you could, and luckily - Tech support is not a vital service, so they have the capability to. After today, let the masses start filling the phone lines with a sour din.
That's all, and that's not too much to ask.

There is all so no point is O we work for peanuts or for nothing that is not the point hear at all.
I have a problem with you saying Tech support is the bottom of the barrel. A proper Tech support man or woman first of know how to handle customers. They need to listen to the customer and mange the customer exportations first and for most. And yes I done the job I am fully trained PC, laptop, printer engineer. I have done 3 and 1st line support for hardware and software. Most of the 1st liner just read a script of a screen and no nothing about tech support at all most companies do this to cut costs. So the just make the customer more unhappy. The first line come and go so fast as they just do knot how your deal with users. When a support is done properly if you cannot fix the problem you should leave the user felling you tried your best and that there problem is been looked at properly it not that hard to do I can tell you that.
Is it to much to ask for support reply with a week?

Jackel this is pure speculation without more specific data, but when i have seen this in the past it is usually do to a process being "bogged" down and the information being queued then released. There are a couple of ways to troubleshoot this:
- If you do not have dual monitors run in windowed mode with Task Manager on top. Order by processor usage and recreate the incident. Look for whatever process jumps to the top. Disable the process and try again. (i.e. anti-virus, indexing service, wupdate.exe, etc..)
- With dual monitors the test is the same as above except with task manager opened on a different monitor and run in full screen versus windowed mode.
- If you normally play in windowed mode switch to full screen to see if it resolves the issue or vice versa.
- Turn your graphics detail down either to low and work your way up or step down - either way will get you the same conclusion. Bascially you need to see if you are overdriving your own capabilities. Playing the cutscenes is generally more demanding than normal gameplay.
- Are you paging? Do you have enough RAM for your current game configuration. If you are hitting the pagefile regularly and your disk is slow/old/damaged/badly defragmented/near full you will notice the issues stated.
- Make sure you have shutdown any background processes while you are testing. (i.e. iTunes, any backups, virus/malware scanning, torrents). Slowly add the processes back to figure out your limit.
- Finally if the experience started after a patch, backout the patch and see if normal performance is restored.
good luck and happy hunting.

Information posted earlier about verifying the EXE is allowed out the firewall is great advice. I would either disable the firewall and verify connection or go ahead and create the rule. If it doesn't appear to be a firewall issue, try the repair option, reapply the patch or backout of the patch until you get back to normal gameplay then reach out to support during their normal business hours.
good luck with it and with any hope, the issue has already been resolved.

No it's not federal law. Oh and BTW again you guys are not getting the point. You only see one thing and your getting mad about it. Its not about the hoilday it's about the lack of support since the games release. If you feel the need to attack me then learn ro read what I was saying. The Reason I say about the whole hoilday thing is that people seem to think they have the RIGHT to have the day off when a lot of other buisness do not give there employees that time. Now as far as them having off Xmas I could care less I am just pointing out that a lot of people are sitting around with this game hoping to play this game...mmm even play it on Xmas day and still can't because the game still isn't fixed almsot 2 months after release. Also keep in mind this game was not just released in the good ole USA. So other countries might not celebrate Xmas the was we do. Lets keep in mind also how many peole got it as a Xmas gift. So please you want to fight with me over something that is true go right ahead.
