I want to upload custom portraits, both large and small, for my new PC.
I can't remember what size they need to be.
Can someone help?
Thanks, CKT

If the prtraits were designed for BG, quite a lot of sites already have them in the correct size and format. Those on the gibberlings 3 website are usually already correctly sized, formatted and named. (The large one should have L as the last letter, and the small one S. All the above is in the readme.)

Thank you. I like to go out and find images of knights and clerics and use them for my PC. I had all of this down pat before I was unable to play the game for a few months. Now I am having to re-learn.
Plus, all this trial and error is burning time until BG EE is released!

If it's for BG:EE, then when cropping images, don't get rid of the originals yet. It's just possible that BG:EE uses a different format.

Hopefully on the portrait selection screen they'd have a much better organised custom portrait selection other than all those file names and the small portrait selection which takes years to scroll. <_<

Thanks for the tip H_T and....ROGER on your thoughts too B_W!
Can't wait for the 18th. Till then though, still doing things 'the old fashioned way.'

Okay, so just when I think I've got this another challenge crops up.
Just loaded BG Easy Tutu and was about to copy/paste some BMP files into the portrait folder so I can retrieve them and use them for my PC.
No Portrait folder in there in my BG Easy Tutu folder.
What's up? Do I place the BMP files in another folder? Or, more likely, have I done something wrong?
Any thoughts?

I can't remember how EasyTutu works, but the portraits folder is only required for custom portraits (so not required for the game to work) and it may be that it's not created by default when loading EasyTutu. Try just creating a folder ("portraits") and putting a few files in it. Then restart the game and see whether the new pictures are available.

Yeah Grond0, et al, that worked!
I just copied and pasted the 'Portraits' folder from my BGII/TOB installation and pasted it into my EasyTutu installation.
For what it's worth, here's another lesson I learned. If you name the portraits a name that is too long, they won't show up when you click to customize your PC. I had about 10 medium portraits and 5 small portraits loaded but only 1, that had a 4-character name 'Seth' showed up when I went to customize. I knew I'd done the same thing w/each of the other portraits but the names were much longer so I went back & shortened the names. When I shortened them to 4 charaters or less, they all became visible.
