There's a new breed of randoms that evolved from the come-in-without-equipments-and-immediately-ready strain. They sit in lobby with level 15-17 characters, most of them Shadows and Slayers, with no equipments, and wait. The moment everyone else hit ready they will also hit ready, as if to sneak past the noobdar.

Not all randoms are terrible. I've had my fair share of them.
But there are things you HAVE to consider. They could be playing a bad game, or a succession of them, you have that weekend event and they haven't started on it, the person is "rusty" at ME3 or they are green as grass to this MP.

Please and take time to consider your words carefully. You'll be eating them soon enough.

i feel you man, went 100k points in a silver match and 2nd place was 25k, and he was there throughout the whole match, switched to krogan battlemaster afterwards, hes fun to play when the randoms go down every 20 seconds and you create kind of a mini game where you try to get as many revives as possible

I'd also add that I, personally, would rather play with someone who's rubbish but trying their best than someone who's fantastic but obnoxious about it.

I'm only a random because I can't afford a mic to, you know, have friends. 

here are some things that can help. stop saving equipment for platinum, believe me buddy, its never gonna happen. Make your character as strong as possible. use the best gear and equipment you have. And seriously, this is the most important bit - Use your consumables.
You'll still be dead last and a pain but it wont be quite so damn frustrating carrying your useless ass though 11 bloody waves!

Somebody sucks, chances are they know it. Using consumables is never the biggest problem with new and "sucky" players, it's always utilizing strategy properly. New players need to know how to handle certain situations and enemies, and sometimes the situation you prepared for is just not the one you get. Ranting about consumables is not going to get you anywhere, quit acting like you were born amazing at the game and lend an actual hand dude, pro-tips for new players.

I think someone has had bad luck. I get just as many excellent players as I do awful ones, especially on weekend ops.

you think on gold it's a problem... ? had a row of 6 silver matches and 2 bronze matches with people which actually try to lose to spoil the fun for everyone else...
* running into a banshee thinking the sync kill is a kiss buff.
* dancing in a group with geth pyros
* running AWAY from the mission objectives
* exiting the extraction zone 2 seconds before extraction to refill ammo (WTF?)
* using Missile Launcher at wave 3... (all of them)
* standing in FRONT of our sniper
* giving an hug to the geth prime
*trying to stomp an atlas getting themselves stomped good.
* and worst part is for all of my matches today I didn't had 1 group which managed at least a teamwork of 2 players let alone full team for simple cover each other and maneuvering the map...

I have no qualms with low lvl players. I do however take issue when someone who is not a gold standard player brings a poorly thought out character with no gear or equipment into a gold match.

a player who would rather fail than use one of his precious med gels. This is the type of player that i refer to as a random. A player who has no real ambition towards winning the mach or contributing in any way.
If you choose to defend that type of player or if you are one yourself, well from me to you - Go F**k yourself.

Then again, I play PC so I don't get that weird ass aim assist you console players are suffering from.

The weekend isn't helping the use consumables thing. Had a game earlier when everyone went down, but nobody would use anything. Thinking "I've done the challenge already and can hadle what's left here; no challenge and credits is better than losing both" I medigel and finnish the wave. But people still wouldn't use anything in the later waves. No missiles, ops packs or medigels, even when they needed them.

Annoying because I actually like the idea of this op. Something that's not just "finnish a gold match" or something. But it doesn't seem to be working to well in practice...

If you thought your character out properly for the match that you're doing, you shouldn't need a great deal of consumable equipment. If you need to be fully decked out with with max level consumables, then you suck, sir. I do gold all the time with nothing, and I do just fine.

What gold matches are you playing, anyway? If you're doing U/U/G it's going to be a lot harder, because you can't plan for the match. Then it's reasonable to use consumables to round out your guy, otherwise it shouldn't matter, just don't suck.

(this is aimed at randoms playing gold, I dont give a damn what you do on silver and bronze)
P.s I dont play with randoms on platinum (ever) but I would imagine its much the same situation.

Oh im sorry that i do nothing but buy premium spectre packs and for some reason never get medi gels. Id love to use them but i dont have one to give, ill use missiles only when in danger and the other 2 dont do much, as for equipment again i dont get many, about 1 per pack and considering that 2 games of gold are needed for a premium that doesnt work out, infact even on plat i still only get one equipment per game... and sometimes its something crap that doesnt go towards my build like a smg amp... so ye i have an excuse. besides im good enough where i dont need it on gold, i can go longer then 5 minutes unlike most idiots you call randoms, and i can kill a decent amount, if you see me in your game and im using my good classes im probably gonna be either the top or second... just sayin

For this weekend challenge. me and a buddy did 2 bronze runs (6 nades in a box on rio is hilarious) And a team of four of us did it on gold just to be extra safe. But why not just take a krogaurd strap on a cyclonic modulator for extra safety and do geth bronze. simple as.

yeah!! this!! if you aint playing FBWGG....then you are doing it WRONG!!

equipment? Pfffttt...for the weak and skillless....unless it is a U/U/G....then YOU DAMN WELL BETTER USE it... but i dont have to. It makes things too easy. I can solo it blind folded with my hands tied behind my back while sitting on a bed of nails covered in lemon juice.
