I usually can only play PUGs, most friends aren't playing or aren't on. Though when I do go on a Gold match, I *always* go in to win, hell, even on silver, I 'll burn all 5 rockets, medgel, you name it, if it means its a win. Don't care if its not "profitable", I AIM TO WIN.

But yeah, I feel you, way too often I see a team mate rather bleed out than to use a single damn medgel or not rocket even with 4 banshees in groping distance.

I do everything and anything I can for the team to win, but the current operation forces me to reel in some of that. I want to contribute to the success of the operation, and I want that commendation pack. This means waiting until wave 11 before I'll use any consumables at all.

Unfortunately not everyone I've been playing alongside has been willing to do the same or adapt their game style so they too can get that commendation pack.

Yep. It's like an added difficulty, sometimes even making Silver harder than a Gold Game with friends.
(For example when you are the only one in the Hack zone or have to deactivate all 4 devices on your own).

In other words, nothing meaningful was mentioned. I suppose that our OP has forgotten the first rule of multiplayer gaming; Never ever have expectations when entering a game.

No I'm not, I'm saying they ended 4 days ago... so if this issue is still consistent then it isn't the kids (though they do aggravate it)
You should join since your on 360. If you're good then you might as well. If you're bad then you can only get better.
Since we're both on 360 I would love to get into a game with you. It's always nice to meet a non-Team AreleX  members who isn't incompetent.

Wtf? So to be considered good you have to join a team filled with elitist players? For what reason? To do speedruns?
I like the mp, but when I play, I do it for fun or to help someone on my friendslist (just helped someone get his Unwavering ach today).

In PUG's other players can be too stupid for words, but sometimes you see someone doing really well with a build you thought wouldn't work on Gold. It's all in the game.

And for the scoreboard; I don't give a **** about that. Most of the times the guy who topped it, has given my QMI the Gold revive medal.

This is true, I played yesterday in a few matches and this happened:

In the team, you have an Engie, an Infiltrator, a Sentinel and a Kroguard...
Who has to do the objetives?
The Kroguard, the guy that has to be out there killing to make things easier for the rest instead of hacking.

I play with randoms now and then solely for the purpose of finding the good ones and adding them to my friends list. I can and have solo'd gold. Playing with randoms can be frustrating because im a team player and end up puting myself in stupid positions trying to help them out.

couple of days ago I was playing with some truly aweful bastards. we got devices wave 6, after securing the first three myself I got assasinated by a phantom (fairly unfortunate circumstances) The idiots managed to get the last device but failed to complete the clean up. The use of a rocket from one of the three of them would have been enough... god damn randoms.

How's this for terrible, hosted a Platinum Glacier lobby and there was a dude that wouldn't even put on Gear. And it isn't like he was a total newbie, he was an N7 500+.

He said later on that by 'randoms' he effectively meant 'noobs/leechers'. The jokers that don't use consumables in PUG Gold/Plat and are in those matches despite only being skilled enough for Silver.

The OP has been a bit hamfisted in his approach to this subject but still has a point. It can get frustrating when you are grouped with people who are not really good enough for the level they decided to play and then don't even really seem to be trying by not using consumables while consistently going down exceptionally quickly.

Newer players should become more familiar with bronze (and then silver) before stepping up to gold. And when you do step up and are less familiar with it, you should go out of your way to try and perform as well as you can by using all consumables available, not running away from all teammates and not going awol during a hack or an escort.
