Is bioware really going to try to retroactively foreshadow this rubbish?

Although to be fair. I'm not sure what choice Bioware has anyway...

They can't just ignore a tangled mess... They have to try to fix it.

And all things considered the EC did a good job.

From an absolute F to a D is not good, it's from unacceptable to barely acceptable.

But what if it doesn't taste good? Do you really think that shell is edible?

Have you eaten shellfish? I haven't, but I know you take the shell off. And in my headcanon, they taste

It takes more than control capabilities to become a galactic threat. You need Reaper armor and lasers.

They already ruled the galaxy once....

How can you stop a threat that can control you?

The Reapers failed to control us, the Leviathans will ultimately fail even harder.

Leviathan's indoctrination capabilities are limited since they require artifacts to be near by their subjects for continuous control. We know that we already have technology that shields us from the artifact signals. It wouldn't be a stretch to somehow apply this to our soldiers and fleets.

Leviathan pretty much covered that, there's really nothing left to add.

- Crucible
- How exactly the Reapers ever got started if their creators had an off button the whole time
- All the other logic flaws in this mess

1. I don't see why it would matter.
2. Leviathans didn't create the reapers, the catalyst did.

I don't know if Bioware knows what they are doing. They have so many story elements that are not used, Harbinger, dark energy, the Shadwow broker stuff etc.  Bioware is an engima to me now, they still added to Harbinger's mystique in Leviathan but still do nothing with him. The easiest thing in the Homeworld comics would have the Shadow brokers data point to the crucible and yet that is not done.

Eh, I doubt they taste the same. I don't even know if cuddlefish is edible. But I know Levvy is, and it's delicious. And not poisionus.

I'd tend to agree, but I've already had that argument, and apparently indoctrination is a magical space disease not technology...

The Reapers failled to control the Protheans. Who saved our asses.

And it took a billion years.

Meanwhile levy won't go around eliminating races. IT'll simply control them and keep them that way. Ony interventing to stop developing synthetics

I don't remember what the Codex says about indoctrination but I do believe it is physical conditioning through sound waves.

That's what i said about some shrooms in MGS3... How can you be so sure that they aren't? It's not like they
ve been studied.

Shepard and the galaxy knows of their existence and their capabilities. They also know they are directly responsible for the Reapers. A direct confrontation with the Leviathans is inevitable; Shepard and company will not just let the Leviathans go unchecked.

The Leviathan DLC was planned before the release of the game. It was pushed back because of the ending controversy.

Its existence isn't tied to forum's b*tching.

So it should become practice to take out vital plot information and then selling it after the game has already been out for months for a tacked on fee? Mega sometimes you post some of the wiser things on these forums and then I wonder how you can post something like this.

Casey and Mac must have been of the mindset that when we saw their amazing ending, we'd be simply left quietly stunned and burning with questions (and speculations, of course) about this intriguing character called the Catalyst. Then when we'd ask Casey and Mac about their wonderfully mind-bending ending, they'd just smile and say "Wait for all our DLC to understand", and we'd all feverishly get this DLC to fully understand the depth and meaning of the ending, and ultimately be left completely blown away when we got the full answer.

Instead, the fanbase's reaction to the ending was (rightfully so) "WTF IS THIS PIECE OF SH!T! IT COMPLETELY BREAKS THE LORE AND IS NOTHING BUT A DEUS EX MACHINA! BIOWARE IS CRAP!"

And the rest is history.....

My thoughts exactly, not only is it litterary cheating, but it is precisely what I hoped DLC would NEVER become.

That's what i said about some shrooms in MGS3... How can you be so sure that they aren't? It's not like they
ve been studied.

You test it on Krogan volunteers.

Judging by the size there's gonna be A LOT of them. Now that i think about it Leviathans are more useful as food than never seen war assets. They could feed entire armiies for months.

Shepard and the galaxy knows of their existence and their capabilities. They also know they are directly responsible for the Reapers. A direct confrontation with the Leviathans is inevitable; Shepard and company will not just let the Leviathans go unchecked.

Shepard could well be dead. Even if he's not, it'd be easy for the Levys to either take control of the few who know, or others and get them to kill Shep.

Look how easily they killed Bryson. And that was when they were trying to stay hidden.

The universe is in chaos and half destroyed. They already have elite commandos holding and affected by devices across the galaxy for use against the Reapers.

It's game set and match.

Gee, maybe DLC should just never add anything to the story or characters. I'm sure that would be a lot of fun.

I wonder if any of you are the same people clamoring for more character DLC or whatnot.

Perhaps what I said could have been phrased better, but I never said I agreed with Bioware's business ethics. The fact that the endings caused the controversy that it did proves that it's a failed and unethical business practice to withhold content that is relevant to the story/lore.

I think that's a good idea too.

I'm certain they had a go at correcting mistakes with From Ashes, considering how anti-synthetic Javik is.

It's actually not that which is the problem. Vital plot points are one thing, what can DLC be about if not vital plot points? A lot of the best DLC is. But we're talking about FORESHADOWING a character... after they appear... through DLC.

That's absurd.

As much as Levvy gave us plot-points and reveals, he also set up the Catalyst nicely... Which is bizarre because already met him...without set-up

The Reapers failled to control the Protheans. Who saved our asses.

And it took a billion years.

Meanwhile levy won't go around eliminating races. IT'll simply control them and keep them that way. Ony interventing to stop developing synthetics

So the Leviathans only care about synthetics destroying organics, because they wouldn't have anyone left to rule over?

Again, control is limited to places where their artifacts are nearby. There is no way they have them all over the galaxy. With the Mass Relays disabled it would be even harder for them to transport more of those artifacts to other systems.

Your worst case scenario is applied to only the Destroy ending. Even then with Reaper corpses everywhere the galaxy can extrapolate their tech and use it against the Leviathans.
