I realize that i am not that good with the infiltrator on insanity because I love taking my enemies out up closs and personal. But adept is so cool because you can hurl poeple 30 feet with a biotic push. Vangaured on the other hand can biotic charge and uterly crush threats in an instant. My favourite class is the Vangaured because, you gussed getting up close and persona wicth l find is good for insanity because of the challenge you get. I know their are more powers then that but right now I dont remember them. thats

Vanguard.

With the Hahne Kadar Armor set you can take out a Brute with a few shots on Insanity. It's hilarious.

I did alright with a Novaguard. Although I've never got around to finishing my Insanity playthrough, still on sanctuary.

Well you can always make a close-quarters infiltrator if you want.  There's nothing stopping you from cloaking, then using the cloak to get close to enemies unseen and blow their face off with a shotgun.  Just saying.

Honestly though, those three classes are the easiest to beat the game with.  The vanguard requires you to really know what you're doing, but if you do, you can clear areas really fast.

I haven't played vanguard on single player but the times I did play it on multi-player I was pretty much invincible 100% of the time charging and novaing things everywhere. So if that's your style then the vanguard won't disappoint.
The infiltrator on the other hand doesn't need a sniper rifle to be good, equip a shot gun and just stealth into a range and unload. Works great with a claymore.
The times I have played an adept were never pretty during CQC. I would say that class is strictly medium range but that's just me. I was never to much of a fan of it though so meh.

My favourite would be infiltrator. You can equip them with anything in ME3. My second choice would be vanguard.

Vanguard is easily the most powerful class and the best class on insanity. add a bonus power like Reave or Stasis and your well rounded. everytime your barrier goes down, use biotic charge to refill. max everything out except cryo ammo, and your gonna destroy everthing with ease. The only semi challenging mission was priority earth (protecting the missile launcher). everyhing else was so easily it was laughable

I literally flew through my insanity playthrough with Sentinel class + Kaidan + Liara. Biotic explosions everywhere.

I like the infiltrator for insanity. Black Widow and Scorpion from distance paired with the Claymore or Graal Spike Thrower as shotgun to finish off opponents in short range. Incinerate, tactical cloak, sabotage and slam as powers and I'm good. Also like the Falcon for the finish.

That's basically the arsenal I'm using and the biggest problem actually arose relatively early: on Tuchanka, when you fight a harvester, a brute and some waves of marauders and cannibals in the hall during the Turian platoon mission. The cover is too high to use powers effectively so I had some problems to keep the ground troops off while not getting into the harvesters range of vision.
