Those are just a few examples. Brostep is the huge thing right now. It will die out just like DnB. These artists will no longer do it afterwards. So no, people aren't ruined right now. They're just trying to sell records.

What?!?!?! DnB is dead?

But...what about stuff like this?

Okay, well not dead. But much less popular than it was at it's peak.

this is true

either way though, electropop is the best

Yeah! Madeon is my favorite artist. His melodies are insane. And that other one I linked is like you said, basically modern age funk. It just makes you wanna move in some way or another. So good :D

Dub step is not music. Not really. My dog can produce such noise on a good day.

I would slap you in the face for your ignorance if you were in front of me.

Reminds me of Daft Punk in a way. Just a little better to my ears though. Makes me wanna get up and bust a move.

Oh no! Muse has made a song that is nothing like their last ones! Repent! I mean, it's not like they haven't done that before!? The Resistance sounded nothing like Black Holes, Origin (Probably the best album from them yet) sounded nothing like Showbiz. They've always tried something new all the time, always experimenting, and I just love how this thread attracts all the haters out of their holes. Really interesting. Far as I'm concerned, it sounds pretty good Madness reminded me a bit of a specific Queen song, whom they seem to have been inspired by quite a lot lately. So chill out and judge the album itself for what it is, or go back and listen to old stuff you like. It's not going anywhere.

It was alright. The music video instantly reminded me of the movie Pi, way back in 1998. The song itself didn't really do much for me.

Hah, you are among the last group of people I would expect to agree with me on anything, Skelter. But I guess I can give you a 1+ for having Baldwin in yours, since you were so kind to compliment mine <3

EDIT: Correction, I noticed you don't have him in that new avi of yours anymore. Aw, so sad.

But every Muse song sounds the same and just as meh as the previous one.

Oh wait, yeah, Muse fans like that.

This statement is interesting. Because in one way I actually agree with her, that a lot of Muse fans seems to always crave the same thing from the last album (namely Origin). It is far from the truth though that all Muse songs sounds the same, as they are always experimenting. They explained a lot about this in their 10th anniversary of Origin last year. The truth is that they don't sound the same, but fans are of course fearful of change (Some fans are anyway). They fear they might go the same route that a band like Maroon 5 went with Move Like Jagger, or something I guess. Not the biggest fan of that band, but they pretty much took a 180 degree turn from their last two albums. I think it's good they keep experimenting, and I'm looking forward to 2nd Law and watch them live in December. It's gonna be exciting. B)

Daft Punk? Yeah, they are awesome. I do like those french electronic bands like DF, Justice and Air. Funky beats and everything. EDIT: I have heard they are doing a tour around Europe next year, so this is probably related to the supposed rumours of that album you posted. Who knows if it is legit.

Guess there is something we can agree on after all. Who would have thought?! :o

Aye, the french know their dance, house, electronica w/e music well. You should definitely take a listen to David Guetta, SebastiAn (with the capital A) and Kavinsky especially. Guy-Manuel had produced Kavinsky's latest EP Nightcall and if you've watched the film Drive you'd so recognize the song.

I'v been in kind of a new/chill wave funk right now though. :D I can't resist Lovefoxxx.

Ok I'll stop being lazy. Take a listen!

Yeah, I need to watch Drive soon, heard a lot of good things about it. Refn has done some good movies before like Bronson, and the cast for that movie is interesting. David Guetta is not my cup of tea, but the others sounds interesting. I'll give them a listen.

EDIT: Interesting theme, sounds pretty cool!

HAHAHAHAHAHA I love people's knee jerk reactions.
Is this one song the entire album?
NO than I suggest you STFU because I'm going to listen to the whole thing before i judge.
This sounds like some sort of opening track that bands some times do.

This song sounds decent but hey what do I know one dubstep track ruined everything thats right... All their great songs in the past is ruined because of one dubstep track.

I actually like "Unsustainable" more than this. Atleast something happens during that song, unlike with this one... Posted Image Besides, there's very little dubstep in "Unsustainable".

Kind of agre to this. Don't get me wrong, I like Muse, but their songs ressemble eachother strongly. (Not all of them, but still)

And I guess we'll just have to wait for the whole CD in stead of 1 song.

I agree, that's why I usually like it when they do something slightly new, like with "Undisclosed Desires".

Or the Exogenesis Trilogy, or pretty much the whole Resistance album (Quite a few Queen-inspired songs in it). Nothing in the Resistance sounds like what they did in Black Holes, which accounts for pretty much all of their albums. In Showbiz it was all about expressing their love for music, and being young and wild, and then came the progressive-space-rock album Origin of Symmetry which a lot different from the last. Also the fact that in that album, they start using weird, and interesting, instruments for their songs like an Organ or a rock song mainly played with a piano. You can download the "Making of Origin of Symmetry" for free on Itunes, and listen to the process. And the rest is history. To me, all of their albums have a distinctive sound, and it's not to say that their aren't songs that seems to hang in a similar genre. Hysteria for instance, sounds like a song that could have been on the Origin album. But in general, I don't think any of their albums sound that much similar. But if that's the picture some people get off from this band, then that's their business I suppose.
