I wasn't aware that Muse was that great to begin with. Knights of Cydonia is pretty good, but that's about it.

That's just my opinion, though. No need to go spreading it around.

E.X.A.C.T.L.Y!!!! It's one of the reason I love Muse as much as I do, they aren't afraid to try something new, and push the limits with some of their music, it's what keeps them fresh and original...even if I didn't like their music I would admire them for their fearlessness and tenacity with trying out new styles of song writing. Everyone has different music tastes, but I myself like Madness, it's hard for me not to like something with Matts craaaaaaazy voice :P. And I'm looking forward to their new album, because truly the only day Muse stops being Muse to me is when they lose that fearlessness with trying out something a bit different which shows they have an obvious passion for what they do...oh, and when Matt doesn't do at least one crazy high-pitched mutant scream at least once per album :pinched: :P....and honestly, I don't see that happening, it just wouldn't be in the bands character. Music is so personal and as such everyone has different taste...but for me, Muse is one of the best Rock bands ever! So, I fully intend on getting their new album  ;)

I don't like their music in general so I'm not touched by that "artistic" choice. The most ridiculous thing is that they are criticizing indiscriminate energy consumption when during their show, their gig consumes an amount of energy that could give light to whole towns in third world Africa... what about practice what you preach? Such hypocrites...

Sting (yes I know. He's from The Police, which has nothing to do with Muse) was questioned about hypocrisy.



Sting tells the world that "stopping deforestation is vital".
But at the same time his rockstar lifestyle is damaging the environment.

First, I was talking about the hole genre of dubstep, not just this.

Second, you should never call something "not music" because you don't like it. That is nothing but ignorance at it's finest. Music is an art, therefore it is subjective. The beauty is in the eyes(or in this case the ears) of the beholder.
To be honest I don't like this either and I don't even really like Muse(Origin of Simmetry was alright, I care not for anything else they've made), but one must understand that some people, for whatever reason, even if you or I don't see it/understand it, do.
So please don't spat these kinds of statements around, I know you're a smart person and these comments do you no justice.

I feel you. DRUGS was one of my favorite bands but they broke up not too long ago so the lead singer could go back to his old band. Damn you Chiodos!

After some reflection, I should have probably not called it "not music".
Anything can be an expression of emotions, a message to be spread or a
statement to be made and there will always be people who appreciate
them.
If you look at the harmony factor of a usual dub step track, it's not not there.
Anyway, I do like flowing, harmonic things most of the time and dub step just bothers me.
I am happy to learn though, so show me some dancable harmonic dub step and I am all ears.

I think the Kitara solo in Madness is way too short, but other than that, it's a pretty standard Muse song. I'm looking forward to their new album, although I don't believe it will be as good as my old favorites.
