I hate the chantry! Played thru to completion two times and both times I end up despising it. So far the best I can do along the lines of hurting them is to cut the cord that binds them to the Mages Circle when Alistair as king asks what he can do for me.

What I'd like to do is bring the chantry down. Destroy it. Burn their sanctimonious behinds into ash and erase them from history.

Can it be done?

Not currently. While I do share a disdain for them as an organization, they do serve a purpose in Thedas. Local Chantries, such as Lothering and Redcliffe seemed genuinely interested in helping others. This is, of course, an on the surface view, and there are some actions in Lothering that I can call questionable. However, taken in parts, rather than as a whole, the Chantry isn't all bad. I do question, however, the Heirarchy, and some of their practices.
