I go Weight and Power, but that's because both of my Vorcha use their Flamer power as their offense. They never fire a shot; they just roast everybody. Since Flamer is a power, the Weight and Power bonus increases the damage Flamer does.

Reegar Carbine + Flamer would blow your mind.swk3000 wrote...

You just have to start firing the Reegar first and then activate the Flamer, then their "beams" combine, sort of.
OT: I go weapon damage on my Soldier since I don't use Carnage at all and Flamer only in combination with the Reegar and Power Damage/Capacity on my Sentinel because it's nice to give the Cluster 'nades that extra damage boost.
I also go for power damage in Bloodlust on both.

They increased the base range to 10m in a balance change so it's unnecessary to increase that any further.

Agreed.
Assuming you're using the Reegar (which you should), the effective range is similar to the 10m of the flamer, so you're best sticking with the base range and instead opting for maximum damage.
I also always pick weapon damage for rank 4 passive, simply because I never use the flamer for more than the firing duration of the Reegar (about 2 seconds), and when canceling early it has a very fast cooldown.
Unless you're going to invest points into Carnage I dont see much point in the passive weight reductions simply because you need all the weapon damage you can get since guns are your main source of damage dealing.

actually you get a higher dmg output if you choose duration i tested it.
