Halo (for example) is better than Mass Effect (and DA2/SWTOR)

He gave more examples other than Halo and he's right ME3 is not in the same vein as ME &ME2 The roleplaying aspects are nearly all gone. There's 1 hub world. Seriously 1.
And it's the most unimpressive hub world of series, too.
1.There were a lot of empty rooms in ME1 Citadel and ME2 that served no purpose.
2. ME3 citadel is bigger and better than the ME2 hub worlds.
1. But it felt large and breathtaking. It really felt like a hubworld, not just a confined space with a large backdrop to artificially simulate the idea that you're on a large, in-depth world.
2. It's all been done before, but on a larger scale. It's like if you took the ME1 Citadel, cut it up, and shrink-wrapped it into different packages. You've got a shopping area, an embassy, a club, a docking bay for refugees to remind you that this is a war, and a tiny area before the Normandy which is only there for Diana Allers. It's like they just made a checklist of the bare minimum needed and did that and that alone.
And in ME2, we had a variety of hubworlds. There was the Citadel, Omega, Illium, and Tuchunka. It felt like an expansion upon ME1, however small these may have been. This just feels lazy, and for a game that's supposed to be bigger and better than the past ones, it really fails.

All I have to say is Halo 2 and I win the arguement. Halo 2 as a story and plot is a mess. Bungie is good with plots that are simple. Once they try to makeit complex, everything becoames a mess, aka halo 2. Halo 3, ost , and reach kept things simple. Nothing in Halo asa story is out standing. It's just eventfull with great gameplay.Mumba1511 wrote...
In a comparison to an in-depth plot and character development like Mass Effect. Halo loses. But saying Halo's story and characters are bad is incorrect.dreman9999 wrote...

3.Halo story is not very good at all. Event full but not good. And has no depth.

They were definitely hub worlds. They had several side quest you could initiate from the planet (Smuggling etc.) and stores from where you could buy items. Like Tuchanka or Illium. I don't know why they shouldn't be considered hub worlds.

Plus majority of the games you mentioned are really just rinse and repeat games with tiny improvements and graphics which isn't a big deal because it's still retains the same core game-play.

you could do the samething on Noveria, buy things and get side missions, its considered a Hub. Feros on the other hand is debatable

Apparently you didn't . "A center of activity" describes both Noveria and Feros. A hub world mission doesn't have to branch to other world for it be considered such. I don't know where you got that idea. Oh but by the way Noveria has such a mission: Doctor at risk/ UNC: Dead scientists. You find the mission on Noveria and have to travel to another system.

Also, I stated there multiple thing you have to have in the world to be a hub world. Buying thing is one of them but the selection does have to change. Noveria store does not change at all.
A hub world must be wereyou get multipe missions form that branch out to other places in the game, were you get info from, where you can buy thing with the selection changing, and have development in outside of one mission.
The normandy is more of a hub world then noveria.
