Do you think DA3 will be good?

Personally i so hope it will be amazing! But...deep down i really don't think it will be and i hope i get proven wrong! But i just dont think it will be a great game.

What about everyone else? Even if you liked or hated the DA2.

Yeah, I think DA3 will be a bioware masterpiece from what I've heard so far.

I think I will be overall ok.
I think the story will be entertaining, the characters will be interesting, the combat will boring, and the world will look pretty but be small.
I will likely play a few times and then get bored of it.

Expect the worst and you may be pleasantly surprised.
Expect the best and you may be greatly disappointing.

So yeah, I think low expectations are the best way to go.

Hmm? When you go into something expecting the worst, that's what you get because that's all you can see.

Wrong. Thats what you may do. Not me.

I didn't go into DA2 expecting the worst. I was dissapointed. I had hope that all the rage over ME3's ending was pure nonsense. I was dissapointed. Add to those some other games, numeras movies & television series where similar things have happened.

On the other hand, when I decided to get DA:O & Mass Effect for the very first time. I was extremely apprehensive. Had no idea if I would like these kinds of games. I had a fantastic surprise & loved every second of them.

Having the right expectations has never let me down.

I think it will surely be better than DA2 given the improvements we saw in DA2's dlcs. But we have to wait and see whether it can live up to DAO or not.

Wrong? If you go into something expecting to hate it, you're going to get critical about every nook and crannie therefore bringing your prediction to fruition, that's just logic and fact. Also Your post doesn't specify that you're talking about yourself nor does my post specify that I'm talking soley about you.

It won't. BioWare is too busy catering to the "wider audience", but I do agree that it may be better than DA2.

Yet my experiences with various video games & other media are evidence to the contrary. Enough. I dont know why you are getting a stick up your ass about this, I merely offered advice to the OP based on my experiences. I dont care if it doesn't fit with your world view.

It's hard to know what to expect from DA3 when so little is known about it.  I do hope it turns out well though, as I'm a fan of the series and want to see many more quality DA releases in the future.

*Yawn* so much bark bark bark...It's highly doubtful that you go into anything happy as my merely disagreeing with your concept was enough for you to fly into a vehement rage. You're free to stop barking anytime you like.Rage filled little cretins like you who can't go 5 post into a discussion without swearing shouldn't be giving anyone advice, you're not mature nor stable enough. It's not my world view, it's just logic. =]

Given that it won't be pushed out as quickly as DA2 and BioWare learning from DAO and 2's glaring flaws I can easily see DA3 being BioWare's best game yet.

Ah yes the "lol he mad" response. I didn't swear nor insult you. Yet you chose to throw insults at me.. and I'm the one who's mad? Alright.

Yeah I am totally raging right now. Like totally. Excuse me while I go punch my wall or something..

EDIT: Also, I think thats enough derailment of the OP's topic.

This is not a fact; different people think in different ways. A statement that is meant to describe how all people think will almost always end up false, simply because of diversity. (Also, the post you quote is almost all 'I' statements, except for the denial of your generalization.)

As for me, I've liked everything I've played from Bioware thus far, so I expect I'll like DA3 also.

I don't know. As of this moment I don't know anything about the game other than it will have a dialogue wheel. I will need more information before I can form an opinion.

I expect it to be wonderful. I'll have criticisms, I always do, but it will be a game I love. Years after it comes out, I'll still think of it fondly, especially the various companions.

Sorry, it's illogical to go into something actively looking for aspects to hate and come out the complete opposite.

For the sake of avoiding dissapointment, I try to keep expectations to a minimum.

My personal instinct says it will be a significant improvement over the second and leaning a bit more towards DA:O in terms of overall gameplay/art style. Whether it becomes Game of the Year content will only become more apparent via previews and, you know, actually playing the game once it's out.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

Sorry, its obvious you have no interest in seeing my point of view or understanding and would rather take the "lol u im right" attitude. So again, enough derailment of the topic.

With the voiced protagonist, the paraphrasing, the auto-lines, the mandatory companions and default companion armor returning, the mandatory requirement for the protagonist to be religiously Andrastian because Gaider doesn't want to allow us to have the option to play as an atheist protagonist, ect., I don't think I'll be purchasing Dragon Age III.

Yes, a crude insult is a crude insult. No, I'm a lady.

Sorry, arguing your expectations concept is not derailment of the thread as it has to do with Da3.If you have nothing more to say, you should've just said so.  =]
