Hey, I've been stuck in the human noble  opening quests for about an hour now, and i'm not quite sure what to do. I've met Ser Gilmore in the main hall and fought off the attacking soldiers, and he told me that my father went to meet me at the servant's larder. good and fine, but i cant seem to access that part of the castle right now. the outdoor path is blocked by the fire, and the door in the main hall is reading "not possible to pick" when i try to unlock it.

im pretty sure that that door in the hall is the way to go, but it just won't open for me. am i forgetting to do something first? or did it just glitch on me? thanks in advance.

it is the wrong door. If you stand in the back of the main hall looking at the main door, then the door you want is on the left side. From there it is easy to find the way to the kitchen by looking at the map.

The other door (unlocked) is the one you came in with, the door on the left (looking at main) just says over and over "Cannot be picked" all other avenues are block by fire and fallen masonry. It's very aggravating.

Found it again on a reload, and then got through on the third try.



Looks like what is happening is the wrong door is getting unlocked (ie. the "Guest Room") up by where you start is unlocked after the cut scene rather then the main door. Looks like a crap chute as to whether or not this bug will crop up, but loading to a save before the cut scene allows you to try again without having to start all the way over.
