I'd like some numbers on those "majority" and "most fans" claims you people keep throwing around.

There has been demographic polls, the majority of fans dislike the ending while a small minority including yourself like it.
I know you're a kid, but really do your research before asking big boy questions.

No polls taken on these forums, or any other for that matter, are ever going to be truly demographic. Those that use the BSN, while varied, do not represent the entirety of the Mass Effect fan base. I have lots of friends that are "hardcore" Mass Effect fans, people that have played all the games, read the books and comics, and understand and talk about the lore, but I'm the only one who ever comes to the forums to do so. I'm not going to say one way which camp is the "majority" only that asking the people on the forums is only going to get you so far.

Your friends probably dislike the ending and plot.

Some do some don't. I've never taken a poll lol. But out of the five I've spoken to about it recently I'd say about two like it after the EC, one is a "can live with it" after the EC, one still hates it, and one was okay with it before the EC (Image IPB). However all but the last, including myself, did not like it pre-EC.

Will do buddy! After all, instead of just clicking away like a normal person and not read it and waste your time on something you consider trivial. You took your precious time to type this post!

Here's more for you. I don't like the colours prestented at the end. They should've picked, black, grey, greyish black and blackish grey.

If Bioware did a turd and fed it to you, you would still be satisfied.

Oh wait they did.

Being wrong sure is fun, huh?

I wouldn't know, I'm always right.

Legion:We say 2+1=3. They say 2+2=4.

Netherone ofyou guy are wrong. How you feel about the ending is up to you.

I googled this "poll shows players hate the ending mass effect 3" lots of data there.

Two of my friends have played. First friend thought the originlal ending was ok, but loved the EC paragon control. Other friend played it post-EC and picked refuse, which I dont really get, but still liked it.

Of course this is all fairly pointless as it's all anecdotal. The only thing it really proves is that people's mileage will vary.

Google the ec ending and you see a much different tally. There tallies for pre-ec and tallies post ec.
Not how this forum is no longing in an uprowr like it was pre-ec. That speaks for it self.

Sales data for DLC that costs money will be what ultimately speaks for it self. The original caused such a dissapointment by the way, that even mainstream media picked up on it. You don't come on CNN if only a little minority hate the ending. There was a loud minority for SC 2 when it came out there wasn't going to LAN on it. And it got ignored, cause most people didn't give a hoot. In this case not so much.

I don't believe Bioware did state that.
They already had Omega finished for the last year, it was always gonna get released.

It wasn't the amount of people that disliked the ending that the media picked up on, though I agree it was a lot, it was the lengths they went to to get what they wanted. The Take Back Mass Effect campaign was unique in what it accomplished to get on BioWare's radar. A lot of people don't like the Star Wars prequels yet thats never realy been news, but if they got together and raised $70,000 for charity so that Lucas would re-make them you bet your ares they would be.

This thread has a bright future ahead of it.

Stan usually comes in around 2-3pm EST (USA) right?

and OP. EA may have screwed it up, the writing may have been bad. but it has been 6 months. Nothing we do can or will change the endings. The great compromise was the EC. There is nothing else that we can do. And if bioware makes another ending dlc that would futher tarnish and ruin the series further IMO.

IT won't happen, ME4 will begin a new story (assuming they don't make a prequel), and the EC is the endings. We all just have to accept it and move on - despite how painful it is.

I hope he does for a while. While I don't necessarily 'hate' the post-EC endings, I certainly do not like them. The ME franchise was also my favorite game series. This next Omega DLC will determine whether I stay faithful to the series, or accept it as dead.

Wow, what a rant.

I don't know, I think BIoware has finally showed us their true colors after their EA merge.

There is a vast market for the types of games that they want to make, and while I do think EA is a problem, I also believe that Bioware is very much on board with it.

ME3 seems to be the kind of games that Bioware wants to make now, and who are we to tell them not to? There's way more money in doing it 'The EA Way' and in the end, Bioware is just a bunch of dudes trying to make a living.

I decided back in March that I was done with Bioware. They don't need my money anyways, and I certainly don't need the kinds of games they make.

In a way, it's a good thing. No more secrets, I know who Bioware is now and what types of audience they are trying to sell to.

It's not for me. And, while it's sad to see the trusted ol' burger joint turn into a fastfood chain, that's just the way the world works.

I wish you well Bioware.

See my signature? And guess what, I happen to be very satisfied with the ending post EC. And don't come to me with the "polished turd" cliche or that I lack logical thinking, 'cause I do know what my preferences are. I hated the original versions of the ending, but this one brings me that feeling of achievement you miss, and I happen to like the lore behind the reapers, the intelligence and the leviathans. I also like the way Shepard goes out (in all three endings). It has the old school sci-fi vibe and soul, and I like old school sci-fi (and here I'm talking about Asimov, Herbert, Lem, Blade Runner and such).

Believe me, I can sympathies with you to a certain degree, but I don't like being called an idiot for liking something, which I happen to genuinely like. If you hate it so much, just move on with your life... you can't remain stuck with your old girlfriend whom you don't love anymore, just to tell her for the millionth time that you don't feel the chemistry anymore or to constantly express your dissappointment to her. Get your hands on games that you enjoy or read some good books instead, or go out with your friends, significant other and have fun, whatever. But coming here and writing huge walls of texts that will have absolutely zero effect and will only further deepen your frustration will not help at all.

My only problem with the ending is the Priority: Earth (London) section of the game which is the most uninspired and boring section of all three games.
It would have been sweet if they at least gave a nod to the most significant war assets we collected for the final push (ME2 squadies, the krogan\\salarian, geth\\quarian\\both, rachni alive or dead) if not in actual gameplay, then in cinematics. It should have been a really exciting run to the conduit of London with lots of things happening. It should have been a real mayhem.

Where did I call you an idiot?

Shouldn't take everything literally - I was refering to this sentence here:

"
Oh and to the pretentious "We're making art, not games" crowd that might read this. Go screw yourselves. You know what people want after they complete a game? A sense of satisfaction, a sense of money well spent and most of all, replaying the game. Just cause you failed to become a big writer who couldn't move beyond the Dragonlance type of stuff, doesn't mean you have the right to screw us with your failed idea of what makes a good story. "

Don't get me wrong. I don't feel being offended, or anything, but I feel that this particular piece of statement kind of questioned my level of intelligence. And I'm not arguing about games being art or not, because in their own right they are, wether we like it or not. What I'm trying to say is that because I tend to think that something is good and I truly enjoy it, and I occasionally happen to express my satisfaction about it on a bulletin board, it doesn't mean that I lack intelligence, which this sentence kind of questions. No hard feelings.
