Starting up Mass Effect 3 in origin leads to the game crashing within about half a second.

The game ran fine before but I was away for the weekend and came back to an origin update and now I can't play ME3 anymore. I've ran the repair install and checked for updates to ME3 itself. I've also exited and restarted origin and the same thing happens. Anyone else experiencing this or know how to fix it?

if its where the me3 loads for a second has a black screen the crashes instantly back to desktop then i have the same problem.............so stupid. mine happened when i changed my resolution to remove the black bars (new monitor since my last playthrough)

its just another pure example why steam is 10x better than origin.

hey anthsparrow, i think i fixed my problem and this should work for you two i think.

what happened was the save became corrupt and well i dont know if its the same for you but i deleted my mass effect 3 folder (which saved the previous settings from the last save) that solved my problem.

if you've got the same problem as me id just delete the entire folder including your saves (i know i know complete pain in the arse) because if it is corrupted saves that's the problem then it would take you a stupid ammount of time to go through them all and pick out the specific problem(unless you want to do that.)

my documents>bioware>mass effect 3 (select and delete). hope this helps.

Thanks, I'll try it now, I might still have the ME2 save to carry over.

Deleted the ME3 folder, still get the same problem, even with cloud turned off.

Getting quite annoyed at EA that I can't play a game I bought a physical copy of and the leviathan DLC.
