Fallout 3? What a piece of ****. Mass Effect 1 shouldn't be on the list and Kotor 1 should be much lower imo. I'm kind of surprised at Pokemon Red and Blue though but I do agree but not sure about top 20 but Pokemon was pretty damn huge when the games first launched and they are still going strong.
Baldur's Gate 2 > DA:O. Origins isn't even close to BG2 in combat or writing.

I have to admit, the top 20 aren't AS bad as I expected. I was really expecting to see ME3 or DA2 somewhere and I'm glad I didn't. I can't however, say I agree with the top 20 on a whole, but at least I don't feel as much of a desire to rage quit IGN forever as I thought I would.

Way I see it, it was either gonna be VI or Chrono Trigger. I'm actually a bit surprised they ended up the way they did. I figured Chrono Trigger would be #1 and VI would take the runner up spot.

This bothered me as well. I thought both DAO and the witcher 1 should at least make to top80. I guess the editors of this list really hate these two games.

Well, it's certainly their opinion. Opinions are subjective, so you can't really say their opinion is 'wrong', because it can't really be 'right' either. It's just their perception. But yes, not including arcanum in there wasn't the brightest idea. Planescape: Torment certainly qualifies as one of the most original(and RP precedent-breaking) game of all time, but they may simply not have enjoyed it as much. The combat system, for example, may seem less enjoyable than something out of Baldur's Gate 2.

I love FFVI, but I agree - it's not top spot material. None of the FF games are, really. I also agree that the lack of DA:O on this list is complete bollocks.

Wow. I took a look at the list. As much as I liked Earthbound, I'm not sure I'd raise it that high. As fantastic as it was, there were so many issues with that game that would frustrate the living daylights out of gamers(Overly aggressive Out-Of-Combat AI, Inventory Item Space issues, etc.). These were fixed in Mother 3, but still.

Now come on, that guy was ridiculous. I mean, the list is crappy, but it's no secret that FFVI and Chrono Trigger are considered among the greatest RPG's of all time. Personally I think ME2 should have been AT LEAST in the top 20, at least. And some of the other choices are down right laughable, but I don't think that FFVI being number one is because of japanese game preference.
