Fable II is being rated higher than Vagrant Story.

Yeah, we're done here. Most top so-and-so lists I can generally agree with, but this is not the case.

I will sorely dissappointed if Mass Effect 3 ends up in the Top Ten. IMO, that game is too much of a dissappointment to deserve a top spot.

It will probably be up there.  It got 75 perfect scores after all...

Anyway, the list is a joke.  I stopped reading when I saw that New Vegas was near the bottom.

But it's true. Nowadays, sports games are better RPGs than RPGs.

Mass Effect 3 wishes it was half the RPG that NBA 2K13 is going to be.

I don't like this list, It's just bombarded with endless JRPGs and not much else. I don't even know why FF and Kingodm hearts are doing there and Persona deserves better.

What's a Fable game even doing on such a list? I thought the original Fable was a lot of fun, but I wouldn't put it on a greatest RPGs ever list, nevermind the profoundly mediocre sequels.

I'ld be willing to bet cash most if not all of the very top ones will be newer games. EA Games for the bulk. Why does anyone even post crap from IGN anymore? There are other reviewers out there. Diablo III at 92? Fuuuuuuu.

Can't say I agree with this. ME1 tried to go RPG and that largely failed (imo). I'm not really sure I'd want to see Bioware's second attempt. 

For better or worse, alot of game mechanics are hybridized: Mass Effect, sports games, Dark Souls, etc. You have the stats which decide how good the character is in certain areas, then you have the player's actual ability which depends on reflexes, coordination, etc.

Can't comment on Madden or NBA2K as I've never played any of those games, but I'm of the opinion that overall ME3 represented an improvement compared with ME2 in terms of providing a better framework for roleplaying.

Primarily because the ME2 reputation system turned Shepard's dialogue responses into a sort of mini-game where you had to choose "always rude" or "always pushover" in order to unlock companion characters, etc.
