This list should be called, "100 random RPG's in no particular order".

It's actually kinda odd. I thought as they moved to the higher end of the list, their description of each game would get longer, but they seem to be doing the opposite.

KOTOR2 and NWN2(because of MotB) should be in the top 10. KOTOR should be 50-something.

These "top X" lists are in 99% of cases crap. Just putting popular games on them regardless if they even fit..just to get more views and clicks..

I once seen CoD listed as an RPG....I kid you not.

Pffft Daggerfall or gtfo! I hate Oblivion it just wasn't a good game at all for me not counting Daggerfall I would say Morrowind > Skyrim > Gothic II > Oblivion

Gothic II is better than Skyrim IMHO, with The Night of Raven expansion tough.
And yes Daggerfall beats'em all.

if we are going to count expansions, then Oblivion deserves more credits because of Shiver isles

Same. Everyone who doesn't have a bias against hard-edged graphics and diversely-paced (sometimes slow) gameplay would prefer Morrowind by far I'd imagine.

NWN - Stunning graphics?  I was HYPED for that game when it came out, and tried for years to love it (failing in the end.)  But stunning?  The very-poor 3D graphics turned me off AT THE TIME.  Stunning?  To whom?

Jade Empire hits 30?  Jade Empire over Pool of Radiance or Bard's Tale?  Over Fallout?  I know this is all personal preference, but man... clearly my sense of "good RPG" is not shared with IGN.

And while I had no personal problems with Oblivion, the praise that game is given... *shudder*

Hey, but that's what these lists are for - letting us whine about them!

For the record, I never did enjoy nor get into Morrowind.  That remains my least favorite TES game (unless we are counting Battlespire.)
