 *Comes out of Corner*
Just a tiny bit too good
"crappy range due to terrible accuracy"
Point taken, but smart choke gives it pretty significant range.
"Not all Pellets hit so it never reaches full DPS"
Still does more damage per pellet than a lot of other shotguns, so it out DPS's them by quite a bit.
Not to mention that the ROF allows for a WAY larger margin of error than other shotguns (i.e Claymore)
"reegar is better than it"
Up close yes. Medium ranges?....

But even on Caster classes it's just...... beastly.

and its brain dead easy to use.

*Hides in corner again*

Bioware's gonna nerf it as soon as Retaliation brings in another DLC Harbinger-of-Death weapon.
Just you wait.

I'm guessing it'll get nerfed into oblivion once the next DLC comes along.

It's a murder machine at level 1. I don't want to know what it's like at level 10.

It's a great indirect buff for Vanguards and Turian Soldier so I'm ok with it. GI and Destroyer are going to do insane damage no matter what, although it is a bit silly on Glacier no matter the class.

It should honestly be an Ultra-Rare...

I still get better scores with my Talon and Saber, but then again, I actually have to aim with them.

not only.
It does incredibly well on all the CQC characters, Infiltrators, Soldiers, and most Engineers.

I'd rather have an OP weapon than a faster shrinking playerbase due to nerfs.

Personally, I really don't like it.... Even with the geth infiltrators using their pirahnas, I find myself to be more efficient with a claymore.... Don't get me wrong, it's an excellent weapon but when it comes down to using shotguns, I usually go GPS (hosting obviously) and the claymore for some serious firepower. For some reason, I really don't like semi-automatic weapons in this game. I think this is due to the carpal tunnel I developed when using the mattock in my earlier days.

Edit: Also forgot to mention the reegar. I usually slap that on my kroguard when I feel like going easy mode...

Fair point.

But having a 100% brain dead weapon is just....... bleh IMO.

To each his own.

It probably is a little bit too good, but it's not really an auto win stick so it's not a huge deal, in my opinion.

It's too close to being an Auto Win stick though.

Whatever.

Reegar does over 4x the DPS.

In CQC Reegar outdps Piranha, with level 3 AP ammo, it took 1 clip on QMI to kill a scanned Atlas

The Talon at high levels actually has better dps on shields/barriers since that bonus is multiplicitve. It's actually pretty close on armor as well due to the 6 pellets, plus the accuracy is way better. Not sure how you are doing that with the Saber though.

I rarely use it. It just feels cheap, especially if used below gold. Even on gold it's a bit much. How quickly it can take down an Atlas is a little bit ridiculous.
Though, even after saying that, I feel that the only change that should be made to it is the weight. It should definitely be a heavier weapon.

Ummm... no. It doesn't. The Piranha has a 'significant range' when in the hands of a GI or Turian Soldier. Otherwise, just no.

With that said, I do think the Piranha is overpowered.

Mhm.
Now tell, me how much damage does it do outside of short-humping your face range?

Double-Tap + Headshots.

Takes care of every unit other than Phantoms and bosses.

(But it takes 1-2 bars off every shot on bosses.)

Significant range compared to before? Yeah it does get a significant buff. Sorry for not clarifying.

Not really. The damage output is high at close range, but it ends up getting a lot of average players killed. At mid-long it does pretty pitiful damage if you aren't an accuracy booster, even with a Smart Choke.

It's not anywhere close to a win stick in the manner that GI + Krysae was.

On a character without accuracy boost I find it lacking.

This.  It's nowhere near the old krysae.
