Hmm...but is that to indicate that they are going to start their own Kickstarter project or to be able to clearly show Obsidian backing/support for other Kickstarter projects?

A Planescape spiritual successor called "Eternity"?
Source Code:
<!--. T . X X I T Y -->
<!-- There is no sleep for the Watcher. -->
Ouroboros would make sense as a symbol for Torment-inspired game.

Did he mean his KickStarter specifically or Obsidian's KickStarter? It's looking like Josh Sawyer is the lead on this, so...

Game of Thrones game
No haha, I'm still hoping for Wheel of Time. The Watcher could be a reference to the Dragon Reborn.

I'm kidding of course (but I would really love an RPG set in the Buffyverse).
Anyway, I'm really interested in seeing what Obsidian is working on: these countdown bits look promising

Hopefully this doesn't turn out to be an isometric game with traditional combat but dumbed down in terms of gameplay (so quest-markers, fetch quests, limited decisions, no curse items and so on). Then again I suppose they could add all modern stuff but then include a hardcore mode adding in all the traditional stuff like they did with New Vegas (the only decent thing about it IMO).
BTW I'm being positive.
On another positive note, with Obsidian's entrance into the "re-capturing old school gaming essence" community maybe more companies with follow route and let's see what this re-opened Black Isle will produce. See Bioware and Bethesda? The traditional RPG gamer crowd still exists.
So now no developer can claim that people want "dumbed down crap" because we don't and we're not idiots. Seriously, CoD Black Ops 2 is looking set to be more of an RPG than half of the "RPG's" on market today and soon RPG developers will find less and less people buying their games as they continue to dumb them down.

I hope BioWare is taking notes. We want good RPGs like the way they used to be made. Like the way YOU used to make them BioWare.

Check out the interviews on gamebanshee with Feargus Urquhart and on Kotaku with Chris Avellone for morw details on what they have in mind.

Let's just hope that with fans giving $1,000,000, Obsidian will respect them and actually make a game that -at release- will be playable.
You're like a broken record, all their games have been playable on release.

In your dream world maybe but even fans of Obsidian Entertainment's games back on the previous page agreed with me.
Don't pretend to be a blind man. Maybe you like playing buggy games and "doing your part for Obsidian Entertainment" but I'm already a modder and tester so I'm not going to bend over for developers and test their games for them for free when they should be doing it themselves.
As for my going on about companies such as Obsidian Entertainment, Bethesda and Lionhead, well these are the Bioware forums, if you dislike criticism of the companies I mentioned above maybe you should go onto their forums instead. I mean apparently it's okay to bash Bioware but bash any of the companies above (who have made worst abominations) and you're suddenly the villain.
Well I hope for your sake that Eternity ends up being playable at release unlike New Vegas was.
http://www.qj.net/xb...-siege-iii.html
So please forgive me while I look at Divinity: Original Sin instead for isometric traditional RPG goodness next year. Larian -a small developer studios now publishing their own games-releases games with less bugs than OE and Bethesda and thus the later companies should be ashamed that a smaller company releases games in better states than them.
Then again maybe OE will actually release Eternity with minimum bugs and surprise me.
