Unlike Control, which has two cinematics for either Paragon and Renegade, Synthesis is not easy to categorize.

So, is this controversial ending, Synthesis, Renegade or Paragon for you?

Discuss, please feel free to express your feelings~and please refrain from evaluating whether Synthesis/Control/Destroy is the best ending. I would like to keep the discussion specific on Synthesis.

Here we go.
  • Example #1:
I think Synthesis is Renegade because it is such an extreme method

  • Example #2:
I think Synthesis is Paragon because it brings peace and avoids bloodshed

Synthesis is neither. It's green.

Its neither. Middle option = green/neutral.

Synthesis, Control and Destroy are all neither paragon nor renegade. Though control does have two variations for paragon and renegade player, the actual act of choosing control cannot be reasoned by being paragon or renegade. All endings have their ups and downs therefore they are all grey.

Choose Refuse.

Synthesis is the most evil decision player can make. Far beyond Moral Event Horizon. Creating a Matrix...

I rank the choices by how much reaper sushi you can get from them.

It’s none, it’s more like salad, you can put any kind of vegetable and even meat in the salad.

If you like you can throw a big in the beam then we would have a pig/synthesis universe in harmony.

All organics would have a pig green smile.

The decisions are not paragon or renegade in-and-of themselves; the player's and/or character's reason(s) for choosing determine which ending is paragon or renegade.

Each of the choices are morally ambiguous, each with both upsides and downsides. I don't see any of them being good or evil.

I never had a meat salad, and now that you put that smiling-pig salad imagery in my head, I don't want it. I'd rather have reaper shushi.

I've always imagined Reaper to taste like peppered calamari.

But paragon and renegade slide is never meant to represent the good/evil divide right? It has more to do with lawful/chaotic slide I think; the approach you take to solve your problem. I never saw the R/P slides as good/evil. Which is why I liked it more than the traditional good-or-evil slides of other games.

So in that sense none of the choices are good or evil, as others have said. They only represent the lawful or chaotic way of solving the (reaper) problem.

I think paragon choices tend to have a lot of "good" leanings. Breaking the kid's gun on Omega is not exactly a very lawful thing to do, nor is chewing out a C-SEC office and a volus because they are being dicks to a quarian, but both are "good" choices.

Sorry, poor choice of words by me. By good and evil, I mean Paragon and Renegade. I think any of the ending choices represent either of these.

It does not belong in ME universe, it's a joke.
Synthesis just came out from nowhere with the most atrocious explanation i have heard of.
