Yeah, leaks made people excited before each of the previous 3 DLCs. Now we're just waiting in darkness, it's getting boring...Nitrocuban wrote...
The question is why are they not leaking _anything_ about new MP DLC?
Just imagine the amount of attention a blurry screenshot of a might-be-Collector would get here on BSN. That would keep people playing and coming to BSN at least.
The silence of the last weeks just draws people away from ME3 and its MP more and more.
DLC announcement today?

There's Eurogamer Expo September 27-30, but that's kinda late. Plus it may be used to announce Omega instead.Beerfish wrote...
Do they not usually announce stuff like this at conventions and such? When is the next game or comic event that BioWare will be at?

The book of one true shot may reliably count as a source.
However, most of the leviathan datamining has been in the story forums....
Let me say... Its interesting.

Will this Retaliation DLC be the start of Act 2 for this multiplayer?OneTrueShot wrote...

Seems we've gathered our forces and struck back at the Reapers and gained some ground in an impossible battle. Isn't it time for the other side to strike back or have I been watching too much star wars?

Prepare to be shocked then, since the levels were already listed in Levi's Coalesced: social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/355/index/13910521 Omega DLC coming next is as sure as taxes. And after Omega there will be Citadel-themed DLCDead_Meat357 wrote...

I would hope Bioware would actually release the DLC today or tomorrow, wait any longer and they are going to be competing with new game releases (Boarderlands 2).
Plus I really want to play it.
I think competing with said releases is part of the point. They want to keep their plaxers interested and not run off to the new games and lesve them without revenue.
While that may be true - If the next MP dlc does release on the 18th, I honestly can't say I'll be playing it right away.
Sure, I'll dowload it.. But I imagine my friends and I won't even give ME3 a second glance for at least a few weeks once we get our hands on Borderlands 2.
The only thing that would change our minds? A new game mode - or a new faction. Something that we can experience right away instead of something we have to fight the RNG for.
I know a lot of you folks feel the same.

We've been hearing about an Omega DLC as a rumor for a long time. Long before Leviathan came out. It sounds more like something that may have been in development and then got dropped at some point. You can't believe everything you read just because it was mined from the game's data. The foliage files on the planet in the end of the game were called "dream planet foliage" yet it's not a dream sequence now. Though at one point during the design phase it might have been. The game also clearly seems to borrow things from ME2's code base. Such things could be legacy code from ME2. After all much of what we have on the Citadel now is known to be cut content from Mass Effect 2.
If you download and go through the Final Hours of ME3 app thing on Origin, you get some insight into how the game's development process works. You'll see that some missions were heavily changed and moved around at the last minute. I believe the Citadel assault where you fight off Cerberus was meant to take place much later in the game than it did. Such things are obviously easily switched around. What a mission was intended for, and what we see in the final product sometimes have little resemblence to the original concept.
Now that's not to say that a visit to Omega at some point is out of the question. Far from it, but I don't know if we will ever see an Omega oriented DLC involving retaking the station or any plot lines with Aria and or Wrex as people like to speculate.
Would I like to see an Omega themed DLC involving retaking it from Cerberus, as well as more story work with Aria? You bet her blue ass I would. However I'll believe it when I see it.

Omega is totally coming. Anyone who knows me on here knows I'm the perpetual voice of "don't get your hopes up too terribly, and enjoy what you do get", but this? This I'm sure about.
Is there any more evidence than what was seen in the data files for the game? Again I made the point about dream planet foliage and how development on a title like this is very fluid up until release. That foliage crap was about the strongest argument for the indoctrination theory there ever was and you can see how that turned out.
If there is some more solid evidence that this is coming I'd love to see it. All I see here is conjecture about file names shown in the game's data files.

It was not mined from the game's data, but Firefight and Leviatahn's data. This got added only with recent DLCs. You don't add something that was already dropped long time ago. And no, these level names didn't appear anywhere in ME2 or ME3 files, except for OmgHub since it was obviously the same name for Omega in ME2.Dead_Meat357 wrote...

The only thing that can stop the omega DLC from coming is if the 2012 prophecies are true. It's the shadow broker for ME3. Aria end up with the same kind of dialogue that Liara end up on ME2, promising revenge, and both have a HQ that work as a preview for the DLC. They are doing exactly the same thing they did on ME2, and they know there's public for it, everyone want this DLC. I don't know what in earth would make they give up on it, considering that they will release more SP DLC.
then, some MP maps on omega would be very, very appreciated....
