My best guesstimate is that we'll see the new DLC launch late October or early November.

Rejoice in the fact that there are thousands of other games to play if that seems like an eternity to you.

Operation failed...hope this doesn't mean we're going to have yet another "reinforcement DLC".

This silly game "operation( not really) failed--->new squad members DLC" is starting to be boring...

I think competing with said releases is part of the point. They want to keep their plaxers interested and not run off to the new games and lesve them without revenue.

Borderlands 2 is going to draw a lot of the fan base away, at least in the short term, regardless of what BW does between now and the 18th. If they released something in late August, they' would've had a shot at still making some $ on microtransactions before the exodus - but it's too late now

Competing with B2 in the short term is not a viable marketing strategy. If they have good product people (and I'm sure they do), then they will likely choose to weather a temporary knock to share in order to draw the player base back with some significant enhacements in late Octoner - new kits, mods, game modes, bug fixes, etc.

I'm probably one of the few gamers that isn't going to be getting borderlands 2 do I'll be sticking around... But not really for long as I will be moving onto RE6 as the multiplayer for that sounds awesome, and I'm kind of tired of this tbh it's great multiplayer and I know it's their first shot at it with mass effect, but there are so many bugs and so many things wrong with it that I'm just not sure I can e bothered, when earth came out it also bought new bugs with it, invisible characters, maps like rio and the escort drone falling through the floor, could you imagine what would happen of they brought in new enemies or a new game mode? How many more new bugs that will come along with new content? Don't get me wrong I really want new DLC, but with RE6 and ACIII around the corner, that's probably going to use up the rest of my year, and then we see even more great games coming out early next year, and by the time I hit that stage of "oooh I haven't played ME3 in a while" they probably would've announced ME4 with all new "colour in your own ending" as a selling point..... Yes I'm pessimistic.

Well, a delay for a few weeks wouldn't be a big deal. It's just important there will actually be a new DLC. 8)

I suspect a quick period between announcement and release and I get why.

When they announce a couple weeks beforehand people have a chance to save credits for it and can get all they want when it releases.

Take away that advance notice and you might have people spending money to get what they want now since they didn't plan ahead and save.

If there's one thing that being a Monster Hunter has taught me, it's that patience is well-rewarded in this world, and if patience doesn't do the trick, then there's always fish to fry in the meantime.

Though I must say, of the fans, some will leave, and it'll take a big content drop and (possibly) a sweet deal to get them back. That's if they want to keep us loyal to ME3. No sugar coating it, people appreciate new content only when in large doses.

I'm sticking around. Borderlands 2 isn't my cup of tea----though perhaps the fact that my friends are all foolishly getting it for console might be the deciding factor.

It makes sense, but I think that the period you mention wouldn't be less than a friday-to-tuesday announcement-release.

So, I think that if what Mr.Priestly said on Twitter( I couldn't find it, to be honest) about a multiplayer DLC on september is true, than we have to wait for the 25th.

Well montreal comic con is on Saturday, and in the schedule it says that they are discussing the multiplayer in ME3 so MAYBE there will be an announcement... But the fact that they haven't all been talking about it makes me kind of doubt there will be any new info

They will announce they have decided to stop creating MP DLC. Then soon after they may announce they will cease to create SP dlc.

Well that is my dream anyway.
