Electronic arts does not interfere with Biowares artistic intergrity. Therefore the ending is entirely not EA's fault (according to EA).

The ending is Biowares fault EA says (even though they did rush Bioware a little bit):

“The truth is BioWare has developed as BioWare and that creative culture is owned by them. There’s nobody in the central planning committee at Electronic Arts that rolls in the tank divisions [into our studios] when they get too independent or too risky or too thoughtful.”

Yes. EA did not write this. No sane executive would have let this out the door.

I've been saying this for MONTHS.

"[Casey's] a profoundly talented guy. He’s got our confidence. And the audience loves him."

What the hell do that smoke at EA and where can I get some?

So? ea was the ones who didn't give them enough time to make a proper ending. The still are at fault.

All EA provided was a budget and a deadline, possibly pushed for MP. Writing was Mac Walter's department.

The audience loves Casey Hudson.

Quite a statement.

I think that ship has sailed....unless they really do have something BIG planned that is going to make us love them again.

Even a poorly presented happy ending would have gone over better. Instead they chose to make it more complicated than it needed to be.

This is the fault of Bioware, not EA.

EA were also the ones who forced MP functions into the game. If given the same budget and no MP features, there would have been far more SP content for a decidely SP game. EA still sucks again.

The ending is the result of bad ideas, not lack of time. There are other things which could well be put down to lack of time (iffy animations, Tali photo etc.) but the writing of the ending isn't one of them so I don't blame EA for it.

But bw did want a hapy ending. EA messed with the vision by not letting them have more time. Would we have such an uprowr if the ec ending was the orignal ending?

Well then, is there someone in the central tank divisions that rushes the game when it takes longer than their quarterly report numbers?  Spare me the B.S.

Hudson and Walters are responsible for the terrible writing, but I'm firmly convinced if it hadn't been for the imposed deadlines ME3 would have a lot better overall. And the other writers would have had the time to try and have Walters' horrific excuse for an ending thrashed.

Also:

"how we reinvigorated [SimCity studio] Maxxis."

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Seriously.

True. But it was EA who forced the deadline which influenced the overall game heavily

Fair enough. As somebody said on this forum before, EA didn't hold a gun on BW team demainding: "Make ME suck".

The uprowr started becausethe ending was not clear. EC fixes that. Any hate on the ending now is because of blind hae for a character or no option for an easy way out in the end.

I suppose that that's always a possibility.
