Yes. EA did not write this. No sane executive would have let this out the door.

I've been saying this for MONTHS.

So? ea was the ones who didn't give them enough time to make a proper ending. The still are at fault.

Even a poorly presented happy ending would have gone over better. Instead they chose to make it more complicated than it needed to be.

This is the fault of Bioware, not EA.

But bw did want a hapy ending. EA messed with the vision by not letting them have more time. Would we have such an uprowr if the ec ending was the orignal ending?

Most decidedly not. But EA needed the sale figures from ME3 on the previous fiscal year in order to inflate their numbers for the shareholders. Otherwise, EA would have another year of bad sales and senior would likely have felt huge repercussions form the actual owner. John Riccitiello in particular would probably be looking for another job right now, and his micro-transaction ideas along with him. All in all, the world would have been a better place.

Was this even a question? Even the slightest logic would tell you that if EA forced an ending on Bioware it would be very vanilla, showy and aimed at the broadest possible audience.

Pushing the button to turn on the Catalyst would result in all the Reapers exploding in a manner so spectacular that Michael Bay would be jealous.

Fair enough. As somebody said on this forum before, EA didn't hold a gun on BW team demainding: "Make ME suck".

Yep from what it seems Bioware clearly other then deadline requirements was free to make whatever they wanted. The only factor EA played in shaping ME3 was the deadline they put the team under...however Bioware had full control of the content up to that deadline.

EA were also the ones who forced MP functions into the game. If given the same budget and no MP features, there would have been far more SP content for a decidely SP game. EA still sucks again.

Mp had nothing to do with the quality of the ME3 endign at all. Stop leaning on that crutch, it has no support.

It has to come after the Miranda DLC.

Sorry.

So, how much longer for this topic to get "not ME3 story and campaign related" locked?

PARADOXES

There's already been a thread on this, yesterday.

And, interestingly enough, that thread had a least leading title, so of course it got ignored.

Which is my point. EA has some fault in this. EA saying this is like them buying a prize horse, cut off one of it's legs and then blame the horses trainer if it didn't run well.

Had EA written the ending it might've been more ... satisfying.

True. But it was EA who forced the deadline which influenced the overall game heavily

um dude bioware was originally gona release me3 in holiday 2011 dont believe me go rewatch vga 2010

it was pushed back to 2012. you can blame ea all you want but the truth is it was casey and mac that made the final call on the endings without input from the rest of the team

how is ea any way responsible for that? if anything there only guilty of funding till they were finished

It's the fault of both as they are one.
Bioware is a part of EA. Not a company with only a few games publishing deal with them.

Same here. I was rather intoxicated through most of me ME3 playthrough. Large explosions would have made me quite happy.

Only as long as Shepard can pull the plug on the catalyst before pushing the button. Wait a sec - EA is probably smart enough to not even add the catalyst in the first place! Yay!
