Then why do you keep using it??

Logic isn't your friend especially when you're using opinions not statements.

Again, pretty much describes the logic you have been using in every thread I see you in.

But then again who needs logic when you can just deny, deny, deny right?

The scale isn't important because you can't tell what the scale is.

Reaper big. Kodiak small. Tell the the dimensions of a Capital Ship, Reaper destroyer, Kodiak, and the Leviathan Reaper, and then you can talk about scale.

Since you don't have the fourth in that list, you can't use scale.

Since it looks exactly like a Capital ship should look like, it's then obviously that, and not a destroyer.

So you're telling us that scale isn't important because you think its a Capital ship just based on general size.  All the Reapers look roghly the same other then Sovreign and Harbinger.

The Night Mammoth wrote...

The Leviathan Reaper was there with its.

Sovereign STILL acted alone for tens of thousands of years.

Sovreign was never alone especially when Harbinger always had contact with the Collectors.

The Night Mammoth wrote...

The Leviathan says what it's been told by those that came before it; that they were forced to become Reapers, that the Catalyst killed them without warning. The Catalyst coroborates this with its own statement.

Yet you just contradicted your statement when the Leviathan was told.  Anyone can be told something like how the Civil War was started for slavery while it actually wasn't.

The Night Mammoth wrote...

The Catalyst's version of the story does not contradict what the Leviathan's tell us.

How is .that when the Catayst has 1st hand knowledge while the Leviathan has 2nd hand knowledge

The Night Mammoth wrote...

I don't assume anything. I believe what two seperate and opposing sources of infomation tell me.

The Leviathans did not want to become Reapers and were slaughtered in a surprise attack and then made into them, The Catalyst admits this, the Leviathans say this.

Yet your own sources are showing contradictions through assumptions.

Clearly you don't know what logic is especially when it involves Aristole.  Haters gonna hate.

Contradiction? Eh? Look in a dictionary please, there's no contradiction there.

The only thing you have is the baseless assumption that the Leviathan doesn't have all its information correct. That is disproven because the Catalyst confirms its statement.

Irrelevant, they both say the same thing.

There's no contradictions in anything I've said. You just told me the Catalyst has 1st hand knowledge of events, so it's not assuming anything. Because its statements match that of the Leviathan, the latter isn't making any either, and neither am I.

Why are you arguing? Two characters say the same thing about the same event, and you have nothing to refute that. All you have is your own assumption that they don't have their facts straight.

And the one that's crushed by a Thresher Maw?

Instead of building that ****** space ****** they could have just bred a MASSIVE army of Thresher Maws, give them space-suits, and fire them from a space-trebuchet from the Charon Relay.

Genius.

The Thrasher Maw attacked with a physical attack not with a projectile attack like how melee weapons in Halo by pass shields.  Insulting others still isn't helpful.

The question should be asked, was it the entire Reaper armada parked in Earth orbit? Since we are lead to believe that they had a lot of other ships still out and about destroying the rest of the Milky Way then we have to assume that it wasn't.

If this is the case then a conventional victory by the combined fleets of the Milky Way races at the battle for Earth should be possible. Losses should be very high but the victory should be achievable, however use of the crucible still dictates how you deal with the rest of the Reaper Armada because there should be more than enough of them left in the Milky Way to still prolong and win a conventional war.

Pointless question, you don't know what it is. Therefore, scale is irrelevant.

Wrong. I'm using both sources to corroborate the series of events.

I quoted the Catalyst multiple times, remember?

[quote][quote]The Night Mammoth wrote...

Because it matches what the Catalyst says.

Therefore the fact that it's 2nd hand is irrelevant.

Absolutely not. Once the Crucible storyline was set, conventional victory would have been stupid, and an even greater breach of narrative coherence than the original endings. We're talking Aragorn's forces defeating Sauron stupid. The Crucible = Destroying the Ring, it is what the game centers around and any defeat of the Reapers needs to incorporate it.

Now, for those of you that hated the ending, would you have found it better if they had made Conventional Victory possible?
This may have been said before, but I for one think they should have just had LESS REAPERS. Yeah they (the Reapers) are powerful, and yeah if you didn't have enough allies you could lose or win with devastating effects. But they (Bioware) clearly showed throughout the series that reapers could be destroyed (Sovereign, Reaper on Rannoch, Reaper in London), but if you just had LESS OF THEM a conventional victory would have been very achieveable.
This way, starbrat could have been taken out of the equation and we could have had a bad ass boss battle at the end with Harbinger and TIM.

Would this have made you happy? It would have made me ecstatic to see all that firepower come to earth and devastate the Reapers while I took out TIM & Harbinger.

Just my thoughts.

i probably would of been happy, but idk about everyone else........nobody seems to care about the good parts of the game to busy being butt hurt about the parts they didnt like. :/

Agreed. The storytelling in this series is way better than any game I've played... Gears of War comes close, but not quite...
