kossith females are getting the same treatment, and are much more important than dwarves IMO, but that's just me. ;P

At PAX east the Dragon Age 3 panel (senior producer, Lead writer, Senior artist and Merizan I believe) stated that, amongst other things, female dwarves are one of the tings they are really looking into, so I'd tip that the chance of them being in DA3 is MUCH higher then 50%. More like 80% I'd say.

I'm all for the Kossith, but Female Dwarves were actually really great in DAO and I think Kossith haven't been as important. But hopefully both are included.

It's around 80%.FaWa wrote...
I put it at around 10%.
I wouldn't say that you're tripping and imagining it. I'd say you're misreading. David doesn't talk about whether female dwarves will be in DA 3 at all. He talks about dwarven romances and female kossith.Emzamination wrote...
I could've sworn I've seen a similar thread not to long ago.I also believe that this thread had an offical bioware response on the subject linked in it.Or I could just be on a trip and Imagining it all![]()

1. Take away things from the fans that they have already been giving them for years.
2. Make excuses about how hard it was to implement things that they deliberately removed from the game, causing many fans to beg for it to be added.
3. Make it sound like its a lot of work and they are really busting their butts to put it back in the game.
4. Slowly replace things that they have taken out of their existing games, to the fans delight.
5. Profit.

Unless you're of the opinion that men can voice humans and dwarves while women can't, or you think there are no female VAs planned already, this statement doesn't make much sense.DuskWarden wrote...
Having two sexes requires more VAs or more talented VAs with a wider range of voices. Either costs more.

This isn't TES where there is 1 VA for each Race/Gender

The human and dwarf voices would need to sound different. That requires either multiple VAs, or better VAs capable of doing a range of voices, as I said. Whilst they might spend that money on the male VAs who can do the multiple race roles, they might not spend it on the females. I don't like it, but that's about the only reason I can think of for the absence of female dwarves in DA2 besides forgetting they exist.

Wow, did she really say that they are looking into adding both genders of one of the dominant races in Thedas? Way to commit Bioware.

The probability had better be 100% for the sake of having a bloody believable game world. Unless BioWare intends to take a "they hide their women away!" approach to female dwarves for the remainder of the series, they'd best be present. I'm hoping they are present, playable...and romanceable.
I hope so too. I missed female dwarves terribly in DA2, and with dwarves like Mischa in Awakening it's clear women do strike out on their own and don't remain behind or hidden away. Female Qunari have now appeared outside of Par Vollen and Seheron as it is, and they are kept out of combat per se, at least, in the Qunari culture...unlike female dwarves, specifically (such as Sigrun, Miaja or Adal Helmi).
I'd like to have them as a romance option as well, jmd4
