Yes and besides, we all know Liara is the Mary Sue of this whole series.
It's a travesty, then, that her ship is bugged.
Maybe they're trying to retroactively 'de-sue' her by causing her to have such an immensely bad lapse of ability and competence? Along with the fact that the information broker who has files on how many cigarettes the Illusive Man smokes every day the thread count of his suit, a log of his comms, the women he's slept with this week in order, and his daily skyball score...
...but has absolutely no clue where his home base that he never leaves is...
There is a difference highly competent and being Sue. The Yaghr Shadow Broker is highly competent and so is T.I.M. and DeathScepter is a fan boy of both. Liara firms her status as a Sue in Mass Effect 3 with Plot Armor and Risky actions that would make a repeat of LOTSB by stray bullet.
it would make good sense to stay in the background and help with communication with all factions leaders including Wrex, Hackett, Aria, Council Member, Tali, Legion(as Faction leader of Geth) and T.I.M.
Each of them is a quest giver to bring the rest of their respective faction in line.

Why not just f*cking tell Shepard where and what the guy was instead of doing what they did in ME2?

So.......... they try to make the Shadow Broker out to be this insanely powerful individual who knows everything about anyone, who even knows things like what the f*cking Illusive Man had for breakfast, and the whole time the guys office was bugged by Cerberus?
Why not just f*cking tell Shepard where and what the guy was instead of doing what they did in ME2?
nah, liara just loved to watch the TIM watch her watching him watching her watching him....
(this is me making fun of the comic, not you. just to be clear [smilie]http://social.bioware.com/images/forum/emoticons/wink.png[/smilie] )

Are they delibertly trying to make every character in ME retarded or something? Even the supposed incredibly intelliegent knows-everything SB is turning into an utter moron.
That's called sh!t writing, Bioware, making every character stupid.

that extends to Cerberus minions in books and comics and Kai Leng in the games, besides I'm sure a phantom could sync kill a base full of Drell assassins
As for the crucible, it's been six months get over it.

Thanks for completing the story through the use of comics that I'll never read, BioWare.

TIM had no idea where SB base was, and I'm pretty sure one Phantom cannot kill a base full of Drell Assassins

Still not buying this comic though, not out of some grandiose feeling that it'll serve some greater purpose, but becasue it just wasn't a very interesting comic.
Read it at a local store called hastings, artwork was decent, not as good as the garrus one but leagues better than tali's. Didn't feel like forced foreshadowing and it had a decent enough plot, seeing an underwater hammerhead on khaje was good, and nothing felt as bad as the op was making it out to be.
In the end, as someone with a general knowledge of comics and a large knowledge of mass effect's universe, it was just okay. Not good, not bad, just meh really, a meh of a more positive leaning, but still meh.
And the negative reaction here is in the same vein as the cover's tagline of "last hope for the galaxy",
hyperbole and overblown claims.

Mass Effect 3 is fill with Bull**** writing and everyone having the idiot ball. TIM is not a villain sue. Just Character decay at it finest by bad writing.

I mean seriously...Bugs in the Shadow Broker Base???
No one had ever infiltrated that base before or since. The Shadow Brokers agents are trained from a very early age and are practically brainwashed.
I honestly think he was dropped on his head...repeatedly as a baby

It's not a retcon if they stuck with what they planned from the beginning.
i see this alot, and i think its foolish to even say.
at what point is "the begining?"
are you saying they totally planned ME3 to be the most WTF game ever?
This argument was started by that jackass goldrush. "Of course its not a deus ex machina they planned to correct *ahem* I mean show all this foreshadowing and stuff they had planned with future installments and DLC."
