Can't bring myself to care or sympathize with the rage, a shame.

Still not buying this comic though, not out of some grandiose feeling that it'll serve some greater purpose, but becasue it just wasn't a very interesting comic.

Read it at a local store called hastings, artwork was decent, not as good as the garrus one but leagues better than tali's. Didn't feel like forced foreshadowing and it had a decent enough plot, seeing an underwater hammerhead on khaje was good, and nothing felt as bad as the op was making it out to be.

In the end, as someone with a general knowledge of comics and a large knowledge of mass effect's universe, it was just okay. Not good, not bad, just meh really, a meh of a more positive leaning, but still meh.

And the negative reaction here is in the same vein as the cover's tagline of "last hope for the galaxy",

hyperbole and overblown claims.

Well The Rage is about we expect better from Bioware. that is all

Are these bugs in the Shadowbroker's fancy ship or in Liara's room on the Normandy?

Either way, it's ridiculous. One would make me want to throw my copy of this comic at the wall with slightly greater force, though.

It.s  the shadowbroker BASE. clearly stated so. no doubts.. its in the first sentence of the comic acually

Ok, so the previous Shadow Broker either allowed the place to be bugged or it happened after that with Glyph (before getting a name) always announcing anyone entering loudly by saying welcome back Shadow Broker.  Ok, yeah right.

Okay, at first I was angry and annoyed at MW.. (OMG.. Mac Walters = Modern Warfare! =O)

But after having read through the thread this is my logical conclusion.

1. I agree with Shotgun Julia on this one. It could work if explained properly.
2. No comment.
3. This is deception level stupid. Just utterly ridiculous. Was the Phantom by any chance Kai Leng?

Also, if nothing in the comic is suppose to mean anything I don't think it should include the central plot point from ME3 at all.

TIM is a villain sue
that extends to Cerberus minions in books and comics and Kai Leng in the games, besides I'm sure a phantom could sync kill a base full of Drell assassins
As for the crucible, it's been six months get over it.

Mass Effect 3 is fill with Bull**** writing and everyone having the idiot ball. TIM is not a villain sue. Just Character decay at it finest by bad writing.

TIMmy was a villain sue ever since he reared his chain smoking head in Ascension. He is a skilled programmer to say the least, he is knows everything about everyone, he's super smart, and his operatives somehow make everyone around them dumber which is the only reason Kai Leng made it past retribution (Anderson should have blown his brains out, but he probably would have survived that) and apparently even his sh!t is golden

One charge from a Vanguard and a liberal use of the Pirahna will knock them on their ass REAL quick in Multiplayer.

Super MAC has struck again!

... that's a new low for the series. Why exactly is Mac writing other things when ME3 is still unfinished? How about instead of committing to write a comic for Dark Horse you manage your time wisely and finish writing ME3 properly. On second thought no, keep this man away from all future projects.

More Liara-slobber by Mac and Sylvia, amirite?

And least when Feketekuty writes her, she comes off as somewhat grounded and not, well...a psycho.

Sylvia wrote Liara in LotSB, which is near universally regarded as the best DLC.

I feel Mac has lost touch with the series and the fan base. Mass Effect needs a new lead writer who sticks to the lore and keeps silly writing to a minimum.

So there we go, another attack Mac thread, been to long since we had one.

I don't think BSN is able to objectively critiscize something without attacking personallly, this is probably one of the most unpleasent fanbases. Well, good to know.

To anyone that thinks that Mac is continuing to ignore the fanbase and wrote this after ME3 came out, I would like to mention that comics are usually written months in advance.

It's likely Mac wrote this before all of the ending controversy. Not saying he would have changed anything or written it differently, but it's highly possible all of the Last Homeworld issues were planned out a long time ago.

Maybe you don't understand how dissapointed most of the fan base is. And if people aren't happy its mainly because they care for the series and are sick of its credibility being pushed further into the mud.

so we what, attack people, call them "hacks". I don't care if some people throw a hissy fit, mac doesn't deserve half the **** that gets thrown at him. It's credibility is not being pushed "further" into the mud, it was never in the mud in the first place.

Yeah, I factored that, but from the consensus is that it seems that he's still not a good writer. And if he had experience as a comic book writer, I'm pretty sure there's better comic book writers that can write their way around him.

I just ... don't understand why as a writer, Mac Walter selectively ignores lore/canon just to make the story work HIS way. That's not how you write things. D: That's how you become a bad writer!

Yeah its not like he was supposed to be focusing on writing an ending to a trilogy around the same time... oh wait, he was.<_<

I'm pretty sure, that he lost touch with more then that
i don't understand how someone like him can be writer, i read a lot (east of eden, steinbeck atm) different books, by diffrent writers , diffrent styles, but i would never ever buy any book or comics by *godly* MW, even when i am "reading" hungry :P donald duck for 5 years old child would be better reading :P
sorry i really don't like arogant people
no one should be writing anything so much related to this type of games. (fan writing is ok, but if it is trying to look official...no sorry no)
