I will get straight to the point. I bought Dragon Age: orgin's not expecting much, however I was blown away and fell in love with the dialoge of the game. How you could CHOOSE your answer, and the cut scenes. I find myself eagerly waiting for the next content

In meanwhile

To curb my addiction, I looked at this game Divinity: coming out on the 29, and it said you could talk to NPC'S and deal with bandits. If anyone knows how similar the talking to NPC is compared to dragon age. I would apperciate it. I plan to pre order the game if its so.

Divinity II: Ego Draconis has some interaction with NPC as well, yes. However, it doesn't have any companions, so it naturally fall short on this perspective comparing to DA:O.

I played the demo and I hate to say it but this game's systems are very bad. Do NOT expect an experience like what you got out of Dragon Age. It looks and feels very cheap, has major technical issues and framerate problems, and has terrible NPC interactions. I suggest downloading the demo on your platform of choice and try it yourself.

Interesting - I already have Divinity II. Seems it came out earlier in New Zealand. I didn't get very far - it's glitchy, suffers from poor graphics and just isn't really that good - Dragon Age >>>>> Divinity II.

How are the NPC so far, like the moral choices you can make. Are they any good

Short Answer: No

It's really a very poorly put together game. At least from what little I saw in the demo.

Is there any good  games that compares to Dragon Age and are similar in terms of the choices you can make and how it effects the outcome, etc. Any PC game suggestions? I'm glad I didn't waste my 50 bucks on this.

I didn't really connect with any of the NPC's and the game play seems fairly linear. Didn't notice any moral choices really. You can read peoples minds, but there are no obvious good/bad choices.

Could try Overlord - you can be evil or slightly less evil :). Neverwinter Nights is awesome. Mass Effect - also made by Bioware - is pretty good, but the PC version was a bit buggy when I was playing it. Mass Effect 2 comes out soon - might be a good bet, though it's a Sci-fi 3rd person shooter with RPG options as opposed to a fantasy RPG like DA:O.

When i was playing the demo, the story in a way reminded me of some other game...what was that game again?...oh yea DA:O. A ripoff of it ofcourse lol, with less than stellar graphics. But i'm a sucker for RPG's in general so most likely i will be buying it .:)

I think (from memory) that you have similar choices to Dragon Age - particulary regarding companions. You can do the whole love story with certain characters, make some characters turn on you etc etc. Most of the NPC's were fun to interact with (specially Joker - the Pilot).

I most likely will be buying Divinity II: Ego Draconis, I know it can't compare to Dragon Age but least if it's a rip off they are "Trying" to be somewhat similar to Dragon Age

I didn't even know what Mass effect 2 was untill now. I don't know why the release date is pushed back so far

It's the same release date published for ME2 for awhile, nothing pushed back about it.

Hopefully ME2 is going to have some pretty significant differences based on choices made in the first game (or, the things you select at the beginning if you didn't play ME1). But we will see how well it is played out.

Have you played Knights of the Old Republic? It's cheap and doesn't look terrible. Even if you aren't a Star Wars fan it's not hard to get into. It's also another early Bioware title.

Other games I'd recommend are Neverwinter Nights 2, it's 1st expansion (Mask of the Betrayer) and definately look at The Witcher.

Anything before Neverwinter Nights is a little too old for me to get into, the graphics just make me cry and I don't enjoy the DnD system much anyhow.

I don't get how Divinity 2 could be a rip-off of Dragon Age when it has been in development for years and released only a few weeks after Dragon Age. Furthermore, Divinity 2 is a sequel Divine Divinity, which came out 7 years before Dragon Age.

Really, people should think before you say such things. Dragon Age is only two months old.

Try any of Biowares older games. If you want the moral choices and great followers go for mass effect though it is a shooter rpg

No to mention that its initial release (the German version) was back in July...Posted Image
