I made a point of doing the squad goal solo. You never know with randoms and there is no grantee that someone wouldn't use an ammo pack in the game just to troll people even if they are on your friend list. In fact I know three people that took great pleasure in spamming multilayer all weekend and doing that in every game

I agree with WaffleCrab, especially because I think this sort of information is important to communicate clearly to all players, and I don't believe this was done.

I have a friend whose PC just died and couldn't access the forums, and he and I did the squad goal with two PUGs and I'm assuming one or both of the PUGs used consumables at some point in time because my friend and I didn't get any Commendation Packs. Players should not be forced to read the entire BSN ME3 multiplayer forum thread on the weekend operation to find this stuff out: if it's not spelled out clearly in-game, it's not fair to the people who for whatever reason do not or cannot access the BSN forums.

My friend had actually suggested we just do it together without PUGs, but I foolishly assured him that BW wouldn't be silly enough to make the conditions of the squad goal dependent on conditions which are beyond your control and very easily broken by trolls, and that most likely it would be fine so long as we personally didn't use any consumables. Now I feel silly for having trusted common sense. ;P And for not reading the thread, obviously.

Well, to give EA/BW credit, I decided to visit the Origin Help Chat and an extremely nice rep unlocked my Commendation Pack for me in 30 seconds and also offered me a nice discount code for my next Origin purchase while she waited for me to boot the game and confirm the pack was there.

So that makes me very happy. Especially since I just got ME3 for my brand new AlienWare rig, and will have to buy some things via Origin anyways! I just hated the idea of not receiving my pack initially and the 'Comendation Pack Help' link saying that a pack wasn't granted to me, like I didn't go out of my way to earn it in the first place.

Still waiting on my pack. Me and a friend completed the Squad goal together with just us two, to make sure we got it. I can provide mine and his gamertag, although that would be pointless on here.

Got a feeling I won't be getting mine.

Don't complain that is wasn't explained clearly to you on the in-game menu for PC. On PS3 there isn't even a message saying there is a operation and yet I still knew what to do for the squad goal and several other people that I met knew also even PUGs. (although it was only the 1s with mics who seemed to know.)

I don't think we should get a "punishment" because it wasn't the player's faults.  The escorts were completely random and BW didn't add anymore to get us to the goal.  I played around 30 games over the weekend and only got max 10 escorts.  I have gotten more escorts in the days after than i did then.  You know just sayin.

See, when they say punishment, what i hear is 'gameplay twist'.    So i am all for punishments.

our punishment this time is tied to the next dlc, that's why they havent announced one...i'm thinking our punishment is gonna be a new faction

I made the assumption that the squad objective was not clearly described in the text on the forum, and although I did several public games where *I* used no equipment, I thought others probably did. As a result, I also did four or so private games and only used consumables in one of those games. No commendation pack awarded, so I thought I'd try out that commendation pack help link. I'm curious to see what happens. I was on the verge of packing it all in for good, but the outcome of this could sway me for another fortnight or two.

I'm still waiting for my pack as well, and many others are too. If they weren't going to give anymore out, I'd assume that they'd take the timer down at the top. Still, should have gotten it much earlier than this. :/

Got an email from Origin at 20:35. Finally got my pack, and finally got the Hurricane! Been after that for ages

As soon as you get an email, check the "Commendation Pack help" link at the top, if it says that you have a Commendation pack, just go in-game and claim it.

Edit: In case you didn't know, the email will be sent to the email address associated with your account you use for ME3. So for Xbox 360, it's the email address used for your gamertag. Not sure what that is for other gaming platforms though.

I'm all for squad goals but the community goal is always lacking in creativity hence why as soon as I get my squad goal I leave it at that. The reward is also not worth it whatsoever, if they want people actually doing these goals make it worth the time and effort we put into it I'm sure the community has plenty of better ideas then a victory pack.

I have completed the individual goal as I understood it three times, but no pack. Maybe I am wrong, but was the individual goal to get through a game without using any medigel, thermal clips, ops pack or cobra missiles? Thats how I understood it.

Just in case, I also used no gear or one mission equipment upgrades. So now I have to wait 48 hours for EA to tell me that the computer says no.

The guys I did this with assured me they didn't used anything either. Did weapon mods count? They are all I used.
