Trolled by the RNG again!

But yeah, sounds rigged in order to introduce DLC or some other surprise. Can't complain, though. The week when Banshees would spawn randomly in any match was an awesome "punishment"' so whatever they have in store, hopefully it will be fun.

And this is why I hope the punishment is something asstastic like -10% credits earned.  People shouldn't look forward to the punishments.

Well that's not a surprise. I played over 50 games this weekend and got 3 escorts.

I'm sure the next operation will be to promote 12 characters but you don't get EXP during the operation.

Incentive=effort and participation

In future if it gonna be mission goals there should at least be more than one type for more opportunities.

Edit: Thank you. Well, at least we were close. I blame the random objective generator.

That's right, blame the ROG.

From: Admiral Steven Hackett
Re: Operation VIGILANCE
Confidentiality classification: XB-PRIME
Distribution: N7 Forces Only

Soldiers of the Milky Way –

As mentioned in previous communications, we’ve seen a number of reports describing unusual enemy activity. Operation VIGILANCE was prompted by the latest in a string of unexpected attacks. I regret to inform you that the operation has failed.

Before our drones could complete their assignments, our troops were overrun by enemy forces. It is clear they knew what we were trying to do. Our troops were forced to salvage what they could before withdrawing from the battlefield. While we will put the salvaged materials to good use, we’ve learned very little about the initial attacks or how we might counter similar attacks in the future.

We will continue our investigation. I know that comes as little consolation to those involved. To you, all I can say is that you must stay alert and rely on your fellow soldiers. The Reapers have a plan. We must be ready for anything.

--Admiral Hackett

Edit: 231,456 escorts were successful. Close, but not enough.

We already told you many time, that is what you get when your victory pack is nothing more than a jumbo pack.

Why would we work 2 days in easier and less rewarding difficulty for 30k worth of consumables for your operation when a single gold run is worth the double.

Put Promo weapons inside of them and the comunity will be mobilized, this is almost guaranteed.

I also agree with this...for the most part.  I think that the only reason they might not be doing that is because if they did then they'd have to give a pack to "every" person that happens to play that weekend regardless of their purpose.  I think these most of these ops have been more about the Group Objectives than the Allied Goals.

This was a planned FAIL.
I got barely any escort missions over the weekend, when I usually get all the time.
Maybe this is a set-up for a new DLC? Hopefully.

I hope so.  I got --0-- escort missions this weekend.

With all the Disconnections and failed to connect to Masseffect 3 servers and Origin, who and the hell can play?

Would it be bad form to report Bioware for cheating by giving us an objective that could not be completed?

I would be interested in the total number of matches in the weekend (not just the number of completed escort missions) that way we could see what the real percentage of appearance was.

Guess that was expected...In about 25 matches during the weekend i did less than 10 drone objectives.

Well it's not our fault, we can't help the randomness of mission objectives. Crappy choice of allied goal.

This op was B***S***. We had to rely on a completely random variable to complete it, for we cannot control how many escort objectives we obtained.

I sincerely hope we are not punished very severely because of the randomness of this game (RNG anyone).

So... the squad goal packs just haven't been distributed yet, right? I didn't get one, but I completed it.

Wait, out of how many games played? That I would like to know so I can see how well the random generator was in our favor.

Looking at our operational history, we completed 548,992 matches during Operation Olympus. With 3 objectives per match, that would yield 1,646,976 total objectives. That suggests an estimated "drop rate" of 231,456 escorts / 1,646,976 objectives = 0.14 for Operation Vigilance (assuming a level of participation similar to Olympus).

That's roughly in the ballpark of the theoretical rate of 0.20. It could be the case that we simply didn't play as many matches this weekend as we did during Olympus. At any rate, if Bioware did tweak the drop rate downward for this Op, then it wasn't by much.

250,000 escorts didn't even spawn. Unattainable objective from the start. After playing about 15 matches and only getting 2 escorts , I knew we failed. Oh well. I played this game more than any other game in my life but it's time to move on. Thank you bioware for the awesome awesome game. Can't wait for 4.

I played all weekend and did MAYBE 3 escorts. Your algorythm(sp?) assigning possibilities on Missions was screwed...

I tell you, if they'd change the Victory pack into a cold 6 Pack, you'd get a lot more people playing to win.

Seriously though, after too many people liked that banshee crap (WHY?!), then people started intentionally sabotaging ops because they wanted a "fun" punishment more than a free equipment pack.
