Hey Datdude1970, have you tried the Arc pistol out? I tend to use it as my go to snipe pistol.  It has very good damage and accuracy and high fire rate.  Spec out for pistol high caliber barrel, scope or ultralight pistol materials.  I do like the sound of the Paladin but i shy away from using it as the fire rate is lower than I would like.  My N7 Eagle Lv VI has very good fire rate but some kick back to it, albeit it's not my fav.

I'll give it a spin, though I would probably mod it with armor piercing and high caliber barrel to for better penetration/damage. I am no good with a scope. Will let you know how it works for me and thanks for the advice!

Well, I tried out the hurricane and the eagle in a solo private match. Needless to say, I didn't get very far ha ha ha. The pistol wasn't too bad, it'll do nicely as a back-up weapon. But had a nightmare of a time with the hurricane. I have very few weapon mods and I found the hurricane, when firing, has a tendency to travel upwards. A lot ha ha. So back to the Phaeston for me though I'll keep the eagle with me as a back-up. Now to try to collect more assault rifles :-)

The Hurricane is an AWESOME weapon! Overwhelming consensus as best SMG. Which could be considered damning with faint praise, but you'll see plenty of threads listing it as one of the best weapons period. With its high ROF, it has one of the highest DPS's in the game. And high ROF helps the odds of getting the ammo effect. So add disruptor, incendiary, or cryo ammo to it (gotta use the latter sometime! :-))

Just takes some practice. Hip fire, don't aim, and/or fire from cover (both methods give less recoil). If you don't have the SMG recoil system, consider a stabilization mod. Or just use in cc.  The biggest problem is that so many mods work well with it.

For my caster classes, I either go with the Phalanx X, or the 'cane. And honestly, the latter is probably better for higher difficulty levels. And you'll see a fair # wielding it on weapon/DPS classes as well.

Cool, agreed with the armor piercing mod.  If you have a quick finger, the Arc pistol has a crazy ROF and I surely would be interested in what you think.

Atm, I have neither weapon mods. No matter what packs I buy, I get very little in the weapon mods or weapons. I think my prob was that I was aiming. Will try another match with it and see how I go. In sp, I use mainly the sniper rifle and I suppose I'm used to aiming lol. It kinda carries over into my mp games, even though I've given up using the sniper there. Thanks for the advice and if I can get the hang of it, I may even give silver a go lol.

I can't answer definitively but I would say yes. I completed it about 10X in private matches and probably a few more times in personal matches (though one never knows for sure) so I can't be positive....but there were no special circumstances in the mission description that would lead one to think that Private matches were excluded. Safe bet that yes they count!

How about about 250.000 games played then? Assuming that 50.000 players were active over the weekend, everyone would have had to make 5 games on average. Doesn't sound that much to me.

If you read through the forums though, you will see that many players only played a solo match to get their Comm pack, many played only 2, or 3 games and were frustrated because someone used a medpack and gave up.

In general far too many players only cared for their personal victory and forgot about the assignment.

People have a bad habit of freelancing during the Escort objective. It's why I only play Bronze unless I know all 4 people I am playing with... Poor teamwork is very irritating...

I prefer the Tempest over the Hurricane. I have tried it a few times and the recoil is insane and I dont wanna waste a consumable on Bronze...

The same thing has happened to me this time around as well. I know I did it right, and I played with people I know whom I trust. I've opened a review ticket so hopefully I'll get one.

Played in the same group as MikeBlackwolf, and I believe we had half the matches bein' purely Hacks, Retrievals or Assasinations... with most of the others bein' a combination of any two of those missions...
If it had been any other time, I wouldn't have minded the lack of escorts, but it is implied in the operation briefin' that they were sendin' in more drones to investigate.
Did have to explain to one team-mate that we had to survive to the extraction wave without usin' consumables (in which we included the ammo, armour and weapon expendable mods, just in case).

OK, this post is getting too big, but I did have a chance to take a few weapons out for a spin....Hurricane....to much kickback and I am impatient so the damage rate is too low for my liking, but the best SMG I have played with no doubt. Arc Pistol - Not a bad choice, high ROF and capacity for a HP, but the slight kickback does me in...it's not much but enough to make me stick with the Paladin....the real prize for me was the Harrier.....first time playing with it, have it on level IV, and man that is an awesome weapon! Will have to try the the Typhoon V out later as that seems to be another fave of the forum.

Played a few waves with Datdude1970. (long story) Had a blast. Used the N7 Hurricane and the N7 Eagle. Was a bit of a trial trying to get used to the hurricane and am going t try again soon with it and hopefully get in a full match this time. Might also try out another few weapons and see how they go. Must first get more weapons ha ha ha

Not at all, I just get sick of people making up their stuff.

I totally don't believe in that statement... just as little as I believe in "I did 300 missions this weekend. I don't get why I didn't get my pack".
